We got their Black Truffle Beef & Scrambled Eggs on Rice, Lemongrass Pork Chop w/ Noodles in Soup, and Signature Homemade Sauce Pork Chop Bun. Truffle Beef was quite Truffle-y, Beef was tender, and Egg Scramble was smooth. Pork Chop Noodles came in decent portion, Pork Chop was tender and had good flavour, but the Noodles were VERY mushy… Their Pork Chop Bun was OK, Pork Chop was tender, the Sauce was underwhelming, but the Fries that came with were crispy. Overall, we thought the food was only acceptable, prices were quite high for Cha Chaan Tang, service and cleanliness needed improvement…
The atmosphere was beautiful. The price point appears to be average, but for the presentation for some of the food, the quality, and atmosphere - you are definitely getting a deal! The food was excellent and you can see the little details they put into the food - I personally love strawberries so having strawberries as part of the display was a nice touch to the dishes. I loved how the Porkchop Rice was in the middle of a loaf of bread - love the creativity. The Hainanese chicken was one of the best I've had in Toronto/GTA area. The chicken pot is definitely something you NEED to order, the chicken juicy and even the red dates taste better than other places, the soup was tasty, just an overall must have. The lobster... DAMN it was cooked perfectly, I couldn't get enough! Forgot to take pix of some of the food but trust me it was awesome Great place for dates! Staff is friendly. The owner himself comes to the tables to make sure everyone is happy with everything. Thank you for the wonderful experience! I will definitely be coming back! It wasn’t busy today and the food came fast and tasted really good. Prices were amazing as well as they are doing $9.99 lunch casserole specials. I recognize one of the waiters from Hollywood Cafe all the way back in the Market village era. I guess they are somehow affiliated. Brings back good memories!
The food is pretty solid HK style cuisine. The pork sandwich is really good. I also thoroughly enjoyed the chicken curry with rice for lunch. However, this place gets very slow when it is busy, they cannot handle a full house. Once during the dinner rush they were not able to get us our water until we walked up and got it ourselves. The food also takes a very long time during the rush. Overall, the food is good, but they need to figure out how to handle the rush better.
First time trying Cafe Broadway this afternoon. Parking is ok. Very bright & clean. High ceiling and seating is spacious. Owners are very thoughtful to provide two benches between the entrance and the dinning area for the waiting guests. Excellent Service. The server Bonnie is very welcoming and courteous. Pricing is a bit higher than average HK Cafe; but you pay what you get. Portion is decent and food served warm and quick. I love my HK milk tea and it is rich and smooth. Overall experience is good. Will recommend family & friends. Please keep up the good food and good service to customers!
Went here for afternoon tea. The afternoon tea menu is $1 less than original price, with free drinks. Service is quick and attentive. Food quality is ok but on the blend side. The chicken has very little to no taste. We need to request some soy sauce. Don’t feel very authentic HK style cafe. Price is on the high side.
Good value for the combo promotion they are running. It can get busy so reservation is recommended. Quality of food is good. Seats are not cramped and it was pleasant for dine-inFood: 5/5
Had the baked pork chop with tomato sauce and Portuguese chicken. Good presentation and good sized portions. Decent taste. But Milk tea and Horllicks were laughably weak tasting. FYI almond drinks are also not offered and paying the bill itself is in the slow side
Average HK cafe style food, for not so cheap prices. You can find better quality for lower price elsewhere in the area. The decor is very upscale which certainly helps them attract customers. I would've given them 3 stars, but they had free dessert soup papaya snow fungus that is a rare find so I gave them an extra star.Food: 3/5
Holiday Monday and wanted to try a place I have not gone to yet.. This Hong Kong style restaurant is the place to come to. Lots of space and seating with its large chandeliers gives it a classy setting to eat. We had Hainanese chicken rice and Pork cutlet with cheese in a brick toast with baked rice... The Hainanaese chicken made perfectly, very tender and the chicken soup flavored rice was not dry but flavorful, enough for a small to medium appetite based on the served portion. As for the pork cutlet, WOW... Large is the answer and it was very good, the pork was cooked to perfection, tender not dry. The brick toast and rice needed to eaten when it warm so the crispiness of the toast can be enjoyed with the tomatoe sauce. This portion is for medium to large appetites. The milk tea ordered was not the best, maybe 6 out of 10 stars... Prices for meals without drink ranges from $13-$20.. average prices is around $16. We definitely enjoyed our meals and hope to come back soon..
