I had eaten here multiple times pre-covid and the food and service was fantastic back then, so this time around I was excited to eat at this restaurant. The menu has changed quite a bit. We opted for the octopus entree, burger and General Tao main. The octopus consisted of one small tentacle! The texture felt like it had been marinating for way too long and lacked freshness. It was served on a purée that did nothing for the dish, and was completely charred on the thin end. My only regret is not snapping a picture of what they served, considering this entree dish was 20$! The 23$ burger was under seasoned and watery, the “pretzel” bun was extremely soft and fell apart after a couple bites. The oka cheese overpowered any other flavour. The 32$ General Tao was by far the worst dish: a big bowl of steamed white rice and a few pieces of what tasted like generic Costco chicken and sauce, worst part was it arrived complete soggy and saturated like it had been microwaved and spooned over the rice! Total cost 108$ with two beers! Honestly one of the most disappointing meals I’ve had in a long time, the only positive is the decor and terrasse but I would never return. This used to be the best restaurant in St-Donat but those days are clearly gone, now it’s an overpriced tourist trap that serve below average dishes. Avoid!
Since we heard good reviews from this restaurant, we wanted to try it out with our family. Unfortunately, our experience was short and deceiving. The place was scarcely occupied, but we were refused entry. The reason : we would wait too long, they were already late in the orders. Instead of offering us a table and telling us that service could be delayed, we were unceremoniously asked to leave. God knows we would have ordered drinks and spent good money there while waiting for our food. It’s a Saturday, we had all the time in the world. It’s the first time in my entire life that I witness a restaurateur declining clientele for such a reason. We would have loved to have the chance to enjoy our experience, but were denied even the opportunity. Very surprising and quite awkward, to be frank. Not tempted to try my luck again.
Good view, good coffee, easy to find a parking spot outside. Very nice place overall. A bit pricey but the quality of the products is very high!
Cute little cafe that does really good burgers. We had the Ohana burger and the chicken burger, both absolutely excellent. Friendly staff and reasonable prices, too.
Excellent service and fresh tasty food. Really enjoyed our lunch. Thank you for the hospitality!

Excellent service, quality, ambiance and delicious cocktails and food. Extremely reasonably price and a well run establishment. Highly recommend.
Café Ohana is spectacular! The service was exceptionally kind. They made special efforts to accommodate my friends and I who had shown up without reservations on a very busy Saturday night. Everything we had including the wine, ceviche, calamari, salad, pasta, baked brie, … was delicious. Overall, fantastic restaurant!
Nice experience, nice waitresses & fast service.
