Phil and the crew are really amazing at what they do. This place is a must. Prices are more than fair considering how unique of a product and experience they are delivering here daily. I mean, the strip mall was empty, but Cafe Kuya was packed! What does that tell you about this place? This place is great for students and families. I recommend the ube iced latte as a drink and for food; everything. Amazing atmosphere, love this place! God bless. John 3:16
Not only do they serve amazing coffee and food, the staff couldn't be nicer. They always make you feel welcomed and take the time to ask how your day is going. So glad to see a sweet locally owned cafe in Brossard!
Wonderful local café where family, friends and newcomers can come refuel on their favourite coffee brew, grab a bite with Filipino inspired sandwiches and wonderful dessert pies!
Looking to support local. Tried the litchon sandwich, and longaniza breakfast and found them a tad greasy. But otherwise tasty. The litchon could use a bit of brine. Great atmosphere and definitely a place to bring friends and family.
Really delicious cafe and friendly employees! Got Ube Iced Latte, double smash burger, pulled pork sandwich, lumpia and hot latte
A real gem! I’m not just saying this as I am Filipino, I live in the eastern townships, nearly 2 hours drive and as soon as I got the chance to come to Brossard , I checked this cafe out. Nice, simple ambiance, plenty of parking and the name strikes a chord Kuya = big brother. The coffee is lovely and I tried the breakfast sandwich which is composed of a brioche or potato based bun, with traditional Filipino relish Achara = papaya pickle a fried egg yellow yolk still runny, cooked to perfection and a burger patty reminiscent of the Filipino breakfast sausage “longganisa” with hints of garlic and sweet porc. It hit all the right spots. I will come back later for their “Ube” latte! Come check it out
I was so excited when I heard that a Philipino café had opened up in Brossard! The cafe is located just off the 132 highway at the Rome exit in Brossard. I loved the vibe. It's a quaint cafe with about 5 tables for people to sit and chat or do work. The cafe offers free wifi. The staff are all really nice and welcoming and are passionate about coffee. I ordered a Cortado with one of their Philipino blends and it was excellent. Their coffee is definitely one of the best on the south shore. Similar quality to café pistache et Nlatte. They also sell bags of beans of well known roasters as well as Philipino blends. I love that in addition to great coffee they also serve excellent food. Sometimes food at cafes can feel like an afterthought but their menu is legit and at really reasonable prices! I ordered their lechon sandwich, pork belly chimchurri mayo and grilled pineapple on a potato bun. It was so delicious, i could have eaten a second one if I had the appetite. I also ordered their chicken adobo steamed bun and their miso pesto noodles with fried tofu vegan option. Both fishes were great! Finally i couldn't resist their Buko pie coconut pie with mochi and shaved parmesan on top. I've never had anything like it and it was SOOO good. It was sweet and salty and the crust was flaky. It tasted like a home baked pie. I will definitely be popping by Café Kuya regularly!
I cannot express how much I love this place. Both coffee and food is delicious: love their matcha lattes with coconut milk, and lechon sandwich. Sometimes, they also have a pop-up like their Smash Burgers! See images
Love their pies and lattes!! Ordered the mango and peach pie today and it was soooooo good. We got it fresh out of the oven so it was piping hot. The pie crust is buttery and flaky and the filling was YUMMMMMM. Really love this quaint and cute cafe in brossard.
I loved this place!!! It has such a laid back atmosphere, as well as being well decorated and clean! The staff is super friendly and were nice enough to let us order food a little before 11am! Me and my friends were even offered cookies on the house for us to try! I also only have good things to say about the food. My friends and I had ordered the lechon sandwich as well as the coconut pie. We were told that the coconut pie is made from young coconuts that are imported from the Philippines, the crust of the pie was crispy and buttery, the crust also had nice layers to it. I loved the addition of the custard into the pie filling, it was sweet, but not too sweet, just enough that it is easily paired well with coffee to help cut down on the sweetness. The lechon sandwich was probably the highlight of my day! It had a very generous portion of lechon, as well as a slice of pineapple and what seemed like roquette, all of that between two hamburger buns. I'm not sure what buns they are but they looked like brioche buns, although I could be mistaken. The lechon was oily and juicy, which compensates for the lack of sauces, with an added hint of sweetness due to the slice of pineapple! The only complaint I have is about the lemon coco x coffee I had ordered, it's definitely a special drink and I'm glad I tried it, but it's not for me. Despite that, I'm definitely coming back to try out the other items on the menu!! I'd give this place a solid 9/10 in my books
