There's a good reason this place is a locals favourite. Café de la Grave is a funky spot with some really interesting menu offerings. Recommended by our B&B host, they exceeded our expectations. The Carpaccio of beets and goat cheese was fabulous and things got even better from there. Service was very good, felt more like being in someone's home.
A classic bistro established in 2007, occupying a formerly “general store” in the heart of the historical village - La Grave, offering locally prepared cuisine served by a passionate, friendly and attentive group. A creative selection of cocktails worth trying. Considering the limited seating capacity, reservations are highly recommended or take-out.
I can't say enough about this place. Completely unassuming as you walk by it. I'm so glad we stopped in.. it was the highlight of the trip! Natalie the owner is this beam of light. She radiates with happiness and positivity. She was made for this business. We had the muscles so good and a VERY generous portion and the epic seafood pot pie. That's going to be my final meal on the island. That's how good it was. I want to remember my trip with that dish. We went on a busy day and they were short staffed and you could tell but EVERYONE kept their cool and was so sweet. Their barrista was working extra hard making all the coffee and tea drinks with a smile. Love this place! I'll be back for sure.
Nice place, very friendly... great food :- & yes the Carbonara are very good !
Great view and food. Veal burger is great. Fries are awesome. Mussels are good.
SO WORTH IT! Do yourself a favour and have a meal at this quaint eatery. The food is delicious try the "pot-en-pot" , even if you have to share it! with everything made from scratch including secret recipes concocted by the owner, the colourful and warm Natalie. A must-stop for anyone visiting the Magdalen Islands!
A gem within a gem. Great breakfast with beautiful views of the Magdalen coastline from the back beach. The ambiance lends to the experience, imagining the history of the islands and the old general store that used to occupy the space.
Hi, I'm 22 years old, I'm Mexican, I really like "traveling" on Google Maps. Somehow I finished this beautiful island and in this restaurant, because of the little that I have seen and read I have already fallen in love, someday I will be with you.
Very good brunch. It was busy and the service was slow but the orders were correct and there were frequent coffee refills while we waited.
Cute place with excellent food, highly recommend the carbonara pasta!
