It's a Starbucks type of place, both quality- and price-wise. They may take this as a compliment, but you know what I mean!

I came here on my last night in Montreal because I want to have some coffee as an "aperitif". This is the main section that you can enter from St Catherine street and there is another entrance from inside the Complex Desjardin. This Cafe Depot overlooks the Place des Arts on Rue St Catherine It's spacious enough inside. There were some oddball type customers inside that night who were interesting to look at after I had got my coffee and a baklava. I had the Melange Imperial coffee which tasted good. I really admire the Barista who handled each customer very professionally and with ease. There were two particular customers who annoyed me by interrupting me while I was making my order, especially this one old guy who talked alot. The Barista calmly handled both of them. I really give the guy a thumbs up. This place is good to sit down and relax and if you get a table by the window, then you can watch people walking around outside on a hot summer night in Montreal
