As a person who used to work at a different cactus club cafe location as a line cook, I can say our food was adequate and made well. Our server was very attentive to our needs and was friendly. This cactus location is nice and big and not too crowded. I would recommend.
The food was of exceptional quality, complemented by tidy and efficient service with a warm and friendly welcome. Although there was a slight wait, the evening turned out to be delightful, with a vibrant, passionate atmosphere and outstanding attention to detail.nnThe main issue was the limited space between the bar tables and the high-chair tables. Most of the tables were positioned very close to one another, leaving little room for privacy.
My husband planned my birthday movie date with a surprise stop at Cactus Club. The staff went above and beyond, arranging a birthday cake for me, and when I couldn’t decide, a lovely staff member brought me two, such sweet gesture! We enjoyed beers, crispy yam fries with garlic aioli and zen roll, all of which were amazing.nI love Cactus Club’s food, ambiance, and warm service. Their shrimp butternut squash ravioli is a must-try! The English Bay location is my favorite for sundowners. Keep up the good work, Cactus!
I ordered the lemon grass noodle salad with chicken & minus the serrano peppers. It was still a bit too spicy for me, maybe because of the thai basil? In general it is a good salad, the chicken was really good a d i'd order again but ask all hot spice ingredients be removed. Family member ordered the Green goddess salad with chicken,minus feta & tomatoes and they were enjoyed their salad.
Despite its strong following in the area, Cactus Club Cafe didn’t meet my expectations. While many people seem to enjoy it, I personally find the food to be a bit overrated. The burger I ordered was very ordinary in both taste and quality. It lacked the flavor and freshness you'd expect from a restaurant with such a big reputation. The Szechuan dish was another disappointment – it was overcooked and lacked the balance of flavors I was hoping for.nnThe only part of my meal that stood out in a positive way were the yam fries, which were crispy and well-seasoned. Unfortunately, that wasn’t enough to redeem the overall experience.nnWith so many fantastic dining options in this beautiful city, I think I'll pass on trying Cactus Club again. There are better choices out there if you're looking for a memorable meal.
