BUY-LOW is a welcome and much-needed supermarket in downtown PG after SOF vacated and moved out. The advertised sale prices are low when they're charged as-advertised. However, oftentimes, the prices scanned do not agree with the flyers or sometimes even those on the shelves, and the MY OFFERS in the More Rewards program are not applied. This has happened to me twice now. There's no dedicated customer service desk - if you want to return an item or dispute a charge, you have to take your paid merchandise through the entrance of the store and head to a cashier.nnI left a feedback comment on mismatched prices and missing reward points and promptly had a return phone call from a corporate associate. She was as helpful as she could be, but the impression i got was that it's ultimately up to the individual store management to own up to and fix these issues.nnI hope that this post and more complaints like mine will force this branch's management to get their act together or get reprimanded by corporate HQ. I will revise and update my rating accordingly when I see positive changes.
Jimmy Pattison’s offering to us low level peasants who refuse to pay the ridiculous prices at his other store, Save on Foods.nnPrices are comparable to super store, but be careful, some things will be more priced like save on foods.nnOverall not a pleasant experience but okay in a pinch if you don’t want to deal with the crowd at superstore.
Racist security guards that relentlessly follow hard working people just because they are the wrong ethnicity. A very obvious plain clothing security guard, followed me right to the till with my one item. It did not matter that I went in to shop wearing my business attire after my corporate job. Because I'm indigenous i was followed. This is a multiple time occurrence here and Save on Foods.
Was in there this morning first thing, filled my cart ,$548.52 . Followed by a security guard around the whole store right from entering to about the laundry soap aisle, he had a funny hat wrapped around his head, couple times I turned the cart back towards him just to screw him up, got to the handicap checkout lane which I have to use , like I said was a big pile of groceries, had a pile of bags, 3 of them standing there jabbering away after I paid, all had them funny hats wrapped around their heads,,, not one single one of them could help a crippled old man bag his groceries and get them in his cart ,, not one of them even offered!!! Instead they just stood there jabbering away at each othernWhat the heck ever happened to customer service and common sense ? It sure as heck never stopped in at Buy low Foods in parkwood center and graced the place and employees with it’s presence,,, highly doubt I’ll be back there
Did not appreciate being followed by security but enjoyed shopping here because there was a good sale and if the security wants to escort me instead of doing their job that's their choice
