This zoo is good for the area that its in. It is a small zoo so I would say its probably best for children ages 2-6 maybe 2-8.. I believe it took me 30 minutes MAX to walk through the whole entire zoo. They do have a puppet show for kids 5 & ^ . It's called the toe jam puppet show, which is cute. The best animals there are: an elephant, lynx, river otters & two bears. I believe there's one more large cat. When I went a lot of the zoo was under construction so I wasn't able to really even see the elephants. They say they have monkey's.. I didn't see any.. and I walked every square inch of the park. ONE of the good things is there is a beautiful park for children outside of the zoo which is on a great piece of land!

Buttonwood Park Zoo is a nice place for locals or tourists to take their children to, but nothing to drive far away to visit. The price of admission is fair. 90% of the animals can be seen all around New England for free. The Staff is Very Friendly & The Train Ride Around the park is definitely a great treat (eck hem.. umm for the kids ..yeah.. for the kids : ) Wheelchair Accessible everything !!!

My kids 3,5 and 8 had a blast. The animals looked well cared for, the park was well maintained and staff was attentive. It was not that busy as it had rained earlier in the day. Overall a great value for a young family.

A great zoo! The staff here is so friendly and put the animals first. They take great care of them and work to make sure they are happy. The zoo is kept so clean and everyone is so helpful. Worth the trip!

Great little zoo. Can see the whole zoo in under an hour. Mini-train ride and old time carousel add to the fun. Big plans for improving the park over the next few years so it should only get better.
