A friend from home told me to come here when I told her I would be in Missoula. She used to come here when she was in school a few decades back and it held such a strong sway over her it was the first thing she mentioned. She was right. Butterfly Herbs is almost mystical. Loose teas and bagged, loose herbs, spices, incense, soaps, lotions, shave soaps, plenty of beautiful and aromatic products to choose from. At the back of the shop is a coffee/tea counter with some seating as well. Ordered a pot of tea and just absorbed the vibe of the place. Great relaxing stop.
Love the cafe here! Great place to go when you are looking for a quiet spot for breakfast, lunch, or simply a nice cup of coffee the baristas make amazing lattes!. The Butterfly Club is delicious and don’t leave without trying a slice of their Huckleberry Coffeecake. They also sell bulk spices, loose leaf tea, and artwork from local artists.
This shop is delightful! The atmosphere is amazing, we love to come in simply for the smells alone. We had a few questions about spices and the employees were very helpful. Their tea is AMAZING too!
I love this place. Good coffee in the back. And pastries. Small seating area. Good quality candy. herbs, herbs, herbs, coffee. Soaps, lotions, ceramics, candles. And the best window decorations in town I think.
The cutest place!!! The interior was amazing, and they have a great selection of herbs and coffee beans. They also have a lot of cute trinkets as well.
GREAT VEGETARIAN OPTIONS! They have sandwiches that can actually fill you up without resorting to faux meat substitutes. The classic hummus sandwich is great, the hummus is well seasoned and sort of hot. Staff here are really friendly and pull a good cup. There's a real vibe here as well, like a lively old timey shop. Nice decor and old jazz music. And there is a dragon overlooking the counter seats. Also vases of real flowers at the tables. A nice touch that's very appreciated! Edit: I wrote this review originally while still seated having my food, and gave it five stars. Then I ventured over into the shop section and was treated very poorly by one of the people who worked there. She was incredibly dismissive and acted like she wanted me to leave instead of spend money, and that kind of treatment really put me off of this place.
Good food, nice atmosphere, low prices. There are a few good ones but largely the staff are not what I would consider to be competent.
I was really surprised by the quality loose leaf tea they have in store. I definitely recommend checking this place out for your coffee and tea needs.
The staff at this shop are very pleasant! There are so many things to look at, so take your time. The photo is just the cutest cup I saw. There is an entire wall of tea and spices. And by entire wall, I mean a 15-20ft wall filled to the top with jars. They use a ladder to reach the top for you! I had a great experience in the store and had to buy the awesome coffee mug.
