I love this place. Lots of animals. Very hands on. Kids enjoyed the pony rides but very short. Lots of hand cleaning stations. Wagon rides sell out fast. Because of social distancing they only allow certain number on. They give you a specific time to go. The kids really enjoyed its.
Butterfield acres is an institution for having a great old-fashioned time with your friends and family. I've been 5-6 times now this time our first child, and I never leave in a bad mood. Will be back several more times.
Cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, and other animals happy to get some pats. Very family friendly and only 20 minutes outside Calgary.
Spent the day at the Butterfield Acres Petting Farm with my Son. He loved learning about the animals and being able to touch the their soft coats. He also enjoyed the horseshoe trail hike. The little messages, trivia, and activities made the exploring enjoyable.
Good variety of chickens. Would not recommend tractor ride though, pretty disappointing. Probably best for younger kids, as there’s not much to do, but it’s reasonably sized for a day out with the kids
