Service was poor. Started with the hostess asking me to wait then seatting people who came in after me first then not remembering what i wss there for. During supper people were continuing asking for refills etc. Food was good through.

Enjoyed pie and coffee with relatives, both were excellent. Melt in your mouth ruhbarb pie was made the way mom made it and such a flaky crust.

Use caution eating here if you have a shellfish allergy! I was visiting my sister in Roundup from June 6th to the 15th and she took me to the Busy Bee on 2 separate occasions. On the first night we ate there I had the fish and chips as my sister highly recommended them. Unfortunately by the time we left and were in our car I began to have horrible stomach pains and felt like I was going to get sick. I have a severe shellfish allergy which results in Anaphylactic shock and possible death. I asked my sister if she thought our fish had been fried in the same oil as the shellfish and she did not think so. I continued to get sicker and spent the next day in bed not feeling well. I should have gone to the hospital but apparently I ate just enough to start the reaction but fortunately not enough to take it to it's most severe state. On June 15th the day I was to fly home we ate there again. I had planned on having the fish and chips again, while I was using the restroom the waitress came to take our order and my sister decided to ask if by chance the fish and shrimp were fried in the same oil. To her dismay, they do in fact fry the fish and shellfish together which in a huge no-no for obvious reasons. When I returned to the table my sister informed me of this and said I needed to order something else. I informed the waitress that their habit of frying fish and shellfish together could have resulted in my death and that I had become very ill, she stated she would inform the manager. I decided on a hamburger and fries which I felt could not be contaminated right? Wrong!!! Again by the time I got to the car the stomach pains began and continued thru the night. The only reason I could come up with is that this place also cooks their french fries in the same oil as the shellfish. Now that is an extremely big NO-NO! I do not recommend this place to anyone with a shellfish allergy as there is no way for you to know what may have been prepared with or without contact to any shellfish, it could be the oil, the pans, utensils and even the cutting boards. Please use caution to protect yourself.
