We got to see this place at low tide and then high tide. Since it's the Bay of Fundy - tides are of utmost importance. You need to check and see the tide timings. Parking is free and ample so no cost involved. There is a public washroom there which is clean and easily accessible and visible. They also have a lighthouse where you can go up and see the entire area. It's a steep climb but worth the effort - it's free too. Inside this lighthouse on the walls is a lot of interesting facts too. If you stand at the water long enough you will see the ground disappearing. I have attached pictures for you to see.
A very nice place to visit with a beautiful view. Parking and entry is free and they have a decent amount of spaces. They have a small lighthouse/viewpoint that you're allowed to go up to the top in which is very cool. The trails down to the water are quite short and a good distance for all ages. MAKE SURE you don't wear fancy shoes or pants because there WILL be mud once your down by the water. All in all a good place to visit.
The place is very cozy and not crowded with visitors. The history of the lighthouse and the photographs are very interesting. I missed the low tide so I couldn't walk on the ocean floor. But I still saw a lot of beauty.
Beautiful spot! Really easy to walk down to from the parking lot. We didn't see it during high tide but it was really nice to walk on the ocean floor during low tide. There is someone supervising to make sure people leave before high tide or you will be trapped. There's also a hose to wash off your feet/shoes when you're done. Really enjoyed our time here!

Loved my visit to burntcoat head park. The park is free to access with free parking. The park attendants are quite welcoming and nice. You can visit the lighthouse first to have an overview of the site. I visited at lowish tide and it was gorgeous! Was wearing converse shoes as I had not packed anything else and they manage to remain unstained. The ocean floor was not as sleepery as I had anticipated.
Beautiful area on the Nova Scotia side of the Bay of Fundy. There's a small interpretation center that outlines interesting facts of the park and also has information regarding the history of the area. Timings for high and low tides are also posted Good time to visit is at low tide so you can walk on the sea floor. There's a set of steps carved into the rocks off to the left of the concrete steps and this makes it much easier to get to the bottom. Be very careful when walking on the rocks if they're still wet. The combination of red mud and rock makes for a very, very, very slippery surface and falling will hurt. The park itself is animal friendly and has lots of picnic tables if you're so inclined to have a picnic or other family outing. There are also washrooms.
Beautiful but busy! I came at low tide to ensure I could walk the ocean floor and see the little Hermit crabs, but I didn't realize how many people come here! Read the signs to ensure you stay our of wildlife protected areas!
This place is magical. I was blown away by its beauty. Ample amount of parking. Clean bathrooms available. Picnic tables in shaded areas in case you packed a snack. Take some time to visit the top of the light house. It provides an incredible view of the Beaty you are about to encounter. The path down to burncoat head was an easy descent with stairs leading you to the ocean floor. You will need to navigate rocky terrain, mud and green algae. Little ones will need to be careful. Continue through the terrain and you will find warm sea water. Along the way you will also encounter snails, corral, and hermit crabs. The park has a single hose on top of the stairs for washing the mud off your shoes and feet. Make sure you schedule your visit during low time. The park closes early enough so you aren’t trapped down there during the tidal bore. At the time of writing this review. There are zero costs to visiting this site. Everything is free!
The beauty is absolutely overwhelming. Part of it is protected, the other part is accessible to the public. They have a great guide who you take advantage of for information on local animals, where you can and cannot go safely. Lots of fun, my family loved it!
