Wonderful place to learn about history of last decade. Specially recommended to families with younger kids. Nice job for Christmas decoration and beautiful lighting. Very kind and helpful staff which make your visit more enjoyable. It takes about 45 minutes to visit all the place. If you are coming during Christmas I would recommend to spend longer here and enjoy lights. Admission is free and free parking provided. Not enough parking space though.
Amazing place during Christmas season. The lights around the village make it magic. With the early sunset during winter plan to come by 3 or 4pm and then enjoy the lights. Parking is limited but you can park on deer lake parking. It was cold so come prepared because the temperature usually drops during the evening. The admission is free.
CANADA DAY 2022! free, so loads of people. better to go there when it's not busy so you can soak up the reading and pic taking if you are that kind of person. everything was kept up really nice considering all the buildings are mostly 100yrs old. it was good to go in and see how small everything was compared to living in Vancouver now. how a "village" could operate long time ago is very interesting in deed. there is ice cream shop with hot lunch also served. washroom is beside it. but no one realizes that there is more than 1 washroom there. cleanest and not used washroom in the area is in the Carousel. i only saw only a few women using that area compared to the very accessible washroom.
Great place to learn about history of the last decade. Specially recommended to families with younger kids. Very knowledgeable and helpful staff which make your visit more enjoyable. It takes about 45 minutes to visit the whole village. Admission is free Except for the Carousal ride and with free parking provided.
A wonderful place with a wealth of history. Several heritage houses of 100+ years, kept in prisinte condition and enhanced by well manicured gardens including some vegetable gardens. One of the major attractions is a 110 year old carousel ride. The staff are amazing and knowledgeable. Definitely worth checking out.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
It's an awesome place to take u back in time. I enjoy all the cool old things. Old smells that come from the buildings. Theirs also a carousel it's like few bucks to ride. Right now due to covid u ain't allowed in the buildings to see things better.
It's a free recreation park really nice experience with my mom. I was worried for my mom but they did have a courtesy wheelchair to go around. They have a coffee shop washroom so clean we enjoyed so much. Everyone so friendly and helpful Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
I really like this place. Apart from the free admission, this place was also educative. I went there during the christmas season. They put a lot of colorful lights decoration. The staff in few houses in the village was also very nice and informative, like the one in the electric train house and in the post office in the store house. The place was beautiful. There was also music performance from two elves when I was there. Really great.
1st time visit this small but fun museum. Good place with family and kids, especially when Bright in Burnaby, the official kick-off event for Heritage Christmas, and it's free! Please respect 2 meter distance from each other and bring masks. I forgot the mask and unable to go inside of the heritage rooms.
Let’s start from the fact that entrance is free. As knowledge should be. It’s a good place to go back in time, and really feel how it was like to live in Burnaby or Vancouver, or just Canada 100 years ago. I wish the staff where dress as people used to Drew’s back in the 1900s. It would give a totally different vibe.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
