All Aboard for Family Fun at Burnaby Central Railway! nn‍‍‍ We took the kids to Burnaby Central Railway on a sunny Saturday afternoon, and it was an absolute blast! Located just a short drive from Metro Vancouver, this miniature train park offers a unique and fun experience for all ages. The ride itself is about 10-15 minutes long, taking you through tunnels, over bridges, and around lush greenery, giving everyone that nostalgic train ride feel.nn The trains are detailed replicas of real-world locomotives, including steam and diesel engines. Our kids were thrilled to ride on them, and it’s clear why this place draws about 100,000 visitors each year. Watching the excitement on their faces as the train whistled and chugged along was priceless!nn The setting at Confederation Park is perfect for a family outing. There’s a small museum showcasing model trains, a picnic area, and a concession stand serving up classic treats like ice cream and hot dogs. Everything is well-maintained by the friendly volunteers who run the railway, making it a welcoming place to spend a few hours.nn If you’re looking for a memorable activity that combines fun, history, and a bit of adventure, Burnaby Central Railway is a must-visit. It’s a great way to enjoy some quality family time while exploring one of Burnaby’s hidden gems. We’ll definitely be back for another ride!
If you have kids and elderly, this is the best place for the whole family. Overall a perfect location since you don't need to travel far from the city.nYou still have time to have a ride. The trains run until Thanksgiving Day. The last train runs at 4:30. It costs only for $4.5 for a ride. But you can get 10 tokens for $40, it has no expire day.nThe train ride is fun. You go through real tunnels and bridges. The ride runs about 10 minutes.nThere are lots of running mini trains in the park. A concession offers pop-corn, hot dog and cold drinks etc.nThank you all the volunteers make the train moving smoothly and always care for our safety. We can't see so many happy faces without the volunteers' donation.nI am so appreciated that I can see many young volunteers join the team!
It is the cutest railway I have ever been to kids would enjoy it.nnThere would be a certain wait time and the children below 4 can be accompanied by their parents. The ticket fare is 4.50 but it's the longest and worth it for the fare.nnThere is a cute miniature station where the smallest trains pass along!
Great mini train ride for the younger crowd, although older kids and adults especially train enthusiasts can enjoy this as well. It’s a relaxing ride that goes through a forested area so it’s nice and shady on a hot summer day. It can be quite cool riding the train in the fall or early spring so dress appropriately.nThere are also model trains on displays worth checking out as well. The volunteers we’ve encountered have also been kind and knowledgeable — it’s amazing to think about how much volunteer power is behind this operation!nnThey also offer very reasonably priced birthday packages here - book early as the slots fill up quickly.
The railway station provided a delightful experience for families with children, thanks to the inclusion of model trains for interactive fun. It was a joy to watch the excitement on the kids' faces as you boarded the miniature trains and embarked on imaginary journeys. The station's initiative to incorporate these model trains added an extra layer of entertainment, making it a memorable outing for families. Additionally, the station maintained excellent facilities and amenities, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable visit for all. With its family-friendly atmosphere and engaging activities, this railway station is a definite must-visit for families looking for a fun day out.
