Bureau en Gros Westmount

When my computer went down, I needed another quickly. I went back to Bureau en Gros because I had bought my previous ASUS there & knew they had a tech department. ( I was not going to another large provider in Montreal due to their impersonal service & incompetent tech team GS) The computer I wanted was really beyond my budget & recognizing this, the salesperson, Eli steered me in the direction of another ASUS -- an excellent product, and I took his advice. Eli had a very good understanding of his product line and was able to match my requirements. He is also a good salesman. I was pleasantly surprised that they had enhanced the quality of their tech service. Marc was knowledgeable, efficient, professional & took the time to answer my questions. Overall it was a good experience.

Courtesy to people who enter the store and the professional manner in which colleagues speak to one another is what I like the most ... and when one of the employees needs assistance, the manager is gentle and gracious.

They are good with answering your questions you may have and really helpful, however some of the employees for some reason they won’t speak English to you. They understand it, but they keep responding in french for god knows why.

I went in earlier today to purchase a Nexus 7 tablet, I was repeatedly asked to buy a whole bunch of extras that I explained more than once I did not want, about 20min was wasted on this - I understand employees are coached to sell add-on's, but if the customer explicitly says he does not want it I would figure they would just stop. I guess not. The clerk headed in the back to retrieve the tablet, and what he came back with (10min later) was a USED item that had been bought, unwrapped, "tried out" and returned, I was insured it was "tested" in store, but this is a complex electronic device, not a frying pan, so I really didn't care for any explanation or to buy a used tablet - I would be looking on Kijiji if I wanted used. The tablet they tried selling as new is by definition a REFURBISHED item (as far as electronics are concerned open box and tested = refurbished), yet the staff at this location tried to con me into believing it was as good as new. I explained that I want NEW not slightly used, and asked if they could check with the Lasalle location to see if a NEW Nexus was available, they flat out said "no" and continued trying to get me to buy a USED tablet as a new item. Well, obviously I left. I'm currently waiting for my NEW Nexus 7 to charge up, which I purchased from FUTURE SHOP. Thanks for the garbage service guys, oh and the icing on the cake was the sales clerk at this store saying a very sarcastic "good luck" as I left, well I guess I must be really "lucky" to find the same item at Future Shop. This place is a joke, selling USED items to unknowing people as new.
