I went for the Braised Lamb Tagliatelle, and it was a tasty combination. Lamb is not something one normally associates with pasta, but it worked nicely with the red sauce. The whipped mint ricotta seemed like a good pairing—after all, it's lamb, and what’s not to like about adding mint? However, I found the dollop of cheese mixed with mint to be too rich. It made me wonder what a savory oil and mint with garlic sauce might be like. The Shrimp Genovese that my wife ordered, with its pesto sauce, was outstanding. Pizzas are great here as well; my daughter had a beautiful stone oven pizza of some kind brought for her to enjoy. The attentive staff and busy, comfortable atmosphere made this a thoroughly enjoyable Italian food outing.
Under new ownership, Ali the owner/manager is always friendly and accommodating. The staff and atmosphere are great. The Food is Divine! Their Gnocchi Gnudi is phenomenallittle pillows from heaven above-as Ali describes it and he couldn’t be more right! and the Beef Cheeks is the best around. Highly recommended. Very good pricing for the quality of food, service and atmosphere. Take your next date here if you want to impress them without breaking the bank.
A really nice Italian restaurant with lots of options and good value. The quality of the food was great and the portion were decent. Everything had lots of flavor and very delicious, and beautifully presented. The crispy pork belly was meal in your mouth amazing. The interior was very aesthetic and staff very friendly.
Buon Gusto is conveniently located in the heart of downtown Guelph, making it a great spot for a meal. The food was excellent, and the cozy atmosphere added to the overall experience. However, the service left room for improvement, as our server came across as somewhat distant and unengaged.
From the appetizers, to the pastas, pizzas, and desserts, everything was delicious. The attention to detail was amazing. The servers were so friendly and pleasant. Big shoutout to Ali who came out to ask how the meal was and helped pack our leftovers. Such a sweetheart.
