I ordered A LOT of flowers to make arrangements for my wedding day. I am not a florist, I have never ordered bulk flowers before. Part of my order: many many different types and colours of roses, 2 types of greens, hypericum, wax flowers, anemones $$$, 2 types of dahlia $$$, astilbe. Positives of my experience: The flowers arrived when specified Bunches Direct was dissatisfied with the quality of the greens they received to send me and contacted me via phone prior to shipping to make a substitution The colours were gorgeous, with the exception of the astilbe which showed a very bright pink in the online photo and was baby pink, almost brown… not sure if they were drying out and that resulted in the brown shade, but I did not end up using them in my arrangements I was able to make all of the centrepieces, boutonnières, and flower crown I had planned for my wedding day with the flowers I received and they looked just like I wanted them to. Guests loved their boutonnières. The flowers came all smooshed into a small box BUT I followed the care directions and most of them rejuvenated… but on that note into some of the less positive parts of my experience come in… Less positive: All of the dahlias that arrived were unusable, they were browning and shrivelled, petals falling out with slight movement. They did not perk up with proper care. I was in a absolute frenzy in prepping for my completely DIY wedding and was not able to contact Bunches within the 24 hour period to request a refund. Disappointing because they were $100 of my $1000 order. It was my bad for missing the 24 hour window because I just COULD NOT reply within the time constraint, I didn’t even get a chance to look at the policy until after my wedding was over… but I would suggest a slightly larger window for reporting concerns with an order and requesting a refund. Related to refund window, lots of the flowers looked bad when I very first opened the box but revived over the next 24 hours in water before I did the arrangements… so if I had been reporting quality concerns within 24 hours it may have been a much larger portion of my order that actually turned out to be ok. In the end, the dahlias were the only part of my order that I was not at all satisfied with. There were a few flowers out of every bunch that were browning, and a few less that actually had mold. I would say probably about 5-10% of my order were flowers I did not want to use in my arrangements due to looking not great. Again, I have not ordered in bulk before but I assume there is a certain percentage you may expect to be imperfect. So especially if you are ordering a small number, I would say it would be wise to order a bit more than you anticipate actually needing. Despite the above, I would order again. Overall I achieved what I wanted to achieve. I don’t regret my purchase, only regret not reading the refund policy asap and would have found a longer window beneficial.
Wedding was Saturday Aug 20th and 3/4 of our floral order arrived this morning Monday Aug 22nd. Pretty much everything was turning brown when we opened it. $450 worth of floral and greenery was not only late... but unusable. Our order was placed with instruction for delivery Friday Aug 19th when we ordered them Aug 3rd. * edited/added below Aug 30th. After some back and forth with Bunches Direct, they credited our card the value of what did not arrive in time. So happy they care enough about customer satisfaction that they made it right. I'd recommend using Bunches Direct, just keep a watchful eye on the tracking of your packages. Maybe ask for them to arrive 2 says prior to your event just to be safe. Lol
Bunches direct saved me in a very tight timeline. The moment I ordered online, I was on the phone with someone who talked me through everything, and made me confident my order would come in time for my wedding. Sophia from customer help called me twice the following week, to help fix my order some flowers not in best shape so she made sure to swap them out with available product, and even put in some spray roses as a tiny wedding gift. The flowers and greenery were in excellent shape. And the customer service is top notch.
Such a great experience ordering from bunches direct! I ordered flowers so that myself and my bridesmaids could make our own bouquets for my wedding! The flowers arrived on time and were all perfectly healthy. Most were open when they arrived and the sunflowers fully opened between arrival on Thursday and the wedding on Saturday!
Just an okay experience. We ordered flowers to arrive on Wednesday for a Saturday event. The flowers themselves were good! But we had some fairly significant shipping issues - the box with our order was addressed and shipped to completely wrong person and wrong address. Thankfully, the wrong address was in a neighboring area to us and we were able to pick up ourselves. Bunches Direct was quick to get in touch with us once the error had been realized and to coordinate with the recipient for us to pick up from them. The order, as we found out when we went to pick it up from this wrong address, was sent to a previous customer. They told us they had a similar thing happen to them in their order a few weeks prior. We received a refund for the shipping fees, as suggested by the vendor with some following up. Our order was shipped to us on an unseasonably warm not hot November day. Our order consisted of fairly hearty blooms - bunches of baby’s breath, queen Anne’s lace, greenery, spray roses and some high-value/high-impact flowers ordered on an individual stem basis. The bunches of items arrived fresh and in good condition, in their original packaging. The individual blooms were not quite as fresh of condition as the full bunches but still nicely wrapped in tissue paper to protect. Once we were able to trim and allow all the florals to hydrate, many perked up but some of the individual flowers were a little wilted. That being said, all of the blooms were beautiful and usable for our event on Saturday with some strategic petal trimming. I would use this vendor again in some situations but might consider going elsewhere as the main floral vendor for a wedding or high-profile event.
DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM!!!!! If I could give them zero stars, I would. I ordered flowers for my wedding and they arrived, in full bloom, with heads following off, and MOLDING. Was given absolutely no money off the order nor were they replaced. Customer service was horrible. They clearly do not care at all about any of their customers or their products. I had to go out and buy new flowers the day before the wedding to make up for the garbage they sent me. We actually complained one day after the wedding since people generally have other things to worry about on their wedding day, it took customer service multiple days to reply to us - thus making it ‘a week later.’ I will add more photos of your damaged flowers, as per requested. You can also note that the roses - already in full bloom and browning at the edges were an additional problem mentioned in our email and other people’s reviews.
Flowers for the wedding arrived on time and in perfect condition. There were a couple out of season so I was phoned and we made substitution on the phone together before shipment. Great value and wonderful selection. Will definitely use Bunches Direct again.
Planning a wedding is already stressful enough - now imagine during crunch time 4 days before the big day all the flowers arrive a day early you open the box with so much excitement to be met with brown, rotted and wilted flowers. This was our experience!!! The anxiety, panic and now more money we had to endure and spend to fix these horrible flowers was not something else we needed to handle, it was the companies fault and what did we receive? I wish I could tell you it was good customer service and them following through with their satisfaction guarantee clause - but INSTEAD it was a refund of $40 after HUNDREDS had to be spent from our pocket to fix this companies mistake! So I will recommend this company if you want to experience heightened anxiety, dead flowers and you enjoy giving money to a company to then end up spending more of your money making your own bouquets a day before the wedding and receiving barely enough to cover the HST/GST on your order. This is a horrible company and I strongly urge everyone to quickly retract their orders from them!
I ordered flowers for my daughters wedding and I had issues from the beginning. They showed up on the wrong date. I paid $100 for shipping and they showed up in the back of a hot truck which would probably explain the condition of the flowers. I ordered a bunch of anemones as a special request for my daughters bouquet and they were all dead and could not be used. Do not recommend as I tried to get a full refund but nothing but a hassle !!!
I just got married on Sept.17/22 - we ordered all our flowers from Bunches Direct and they were awful. 90% of them were already browned and falling off the stems. They came on Wednesday a day earlier so they were even worse by the time we needed them. Their response to the issues presented was handled so poorly as well. My almost $300 bridal bouquet looked nothing like the photo, all the peach roses were brown and falling off, it was horrendous and I would of been able to get something better from the Superstore for 1/3 of the price! We were refunded $40 dollars not even sure how they came to that number? My mother's corsage fell apart as it was dead. I do not write review's, so please consider this before ordering for your wedding or event.
