I had a great time when we ate here. The food was delicious, timely and fresh. The waitress was very helpful, quick on refilling drinks and the service was fast. I definitely recommend going here as the food was delicious. Food: 5/5
Bun Ta “your good” I thought the food and flavours resembled the tastes of the many Pho restaurants we have in Vung Tau Vietnam . Keep up the great work in the food reputation of the Vietnamese culture. The dining facility is spotlessly clean and the server was friendly and professional. I will personally recommend this restaurant for Vietnamese cuisine! Great job Cảm ơn ……thank you!
Update ** I have been in to speak with the new owner and they have kindly remedied the situation by giving me a refund and offering their apologies. This situation was handled kindly and I am satisfied with the outcome. ********** I have been to Bun Ta quite a few times previously and ordered the spicy veggie tofu Pho. It was always flavorful, came in a large portion, and quickly became my go to spot to eat in Lake Country. I went there with my partner yesterday to spend some quality time at our favorite spot, and was completely caught off guard when my Pho arrived at the table. The dish was visibly different in colour, size, and what it consisted of. The broth was completely tasteless, and tepid. My partner ordered the Rare Beef pho as usually, and his was also terribly bland, and cold. I brought this up with the waitress and instead of offering to speak with the chef, she brought me chili oil and some spices to add to the soup myself from the back room. Even with these additives the soup was very bland and disappointing. The waitress went on to tell us that there are new owners and that she makes the Pho differently. I did not see any signage or verbal confirmation of such change and would have liked to know this before ordering, and at least have some of the meal comped for being tasteless and almost inedible. My partner sent most of his back, and with still having to pay for it I brought mine home to see if I could salvage the left over watery broth and noodles. All in all it was a disappointing way to spend 50$ in Christmas money, and I will not be going back.
The food was amazing and the atmosphere was very nice. If you live nearby or often pass by Lake Country and haven't tried this place, you most definitely should!! We tried #10 & #27. Both were very flavourful and warmed us up from the core after a cold walk. I almost ordered more food to take home for lunch for the next day!Food: 5/5
We went to have dinner because of the good reviews, but honestly it was very tasteless. The sauce added to the gyozas was so extremely overwhelming that it was not desirable to eat anymore and the noodle soup had almost no flavor. Normally I don’t like to write bad reviews, but the previous reviews made it seem like this was the ‘to go to’ vietnamese place and I highly disagree.
Used to be one of our favorite spots. usually got pho 2-3 times a month. About 3 weeks ago we ordered our regular pho for take out, when we got home we realized it was not what ordered but it tasted alright so we went with it. Fast forward a couple weeks and we try again, made sure to confirm our order was what we usually get and when we got it home, we thought they had given us the wrong order again. Unfortunately it was the right order but everything about the pho was different and nowhere near the amazing quality we have come to expect.
That was the worst Vietnamese lemongrass I've ever had in the Okanagan. I see why people in lakecountry aren't fans of asian food. Try Vernon or Kelowna for something tasty this is definitely on my I can make it better list of asian restaurants as an amateur asian cook, that says a lot about this place
Stopped in for a quick lunch. Ordered the Pho Ga chicken and Wonton Soup. Tables were nicely distanced due to Covid and they had hand sanitizer at the entrance. Restaurant was extremely clean. Service was friendly and efficient. Although different from pho’s I’ve had elsewhere it was a pleasant change and was very tasty. The Wonton soup was good as well. Can’t wait to try their other dishes.
Staff are lovely. Broth is well made. Not a lot of good pho in the Okanagan and this place is one of 2 we enjoy!
First of all, I am a big fan of Pho. It was fantastic! The soup was very flavourful and big portion. Great service too!
