Golf simulator was going fine. The service for drinks was not up to standard. The bartender broke a class in the ice and didn’t clear the ice out. Conceded about if the glass was removed or not. Also received different drinks that weren’t made correctly and one had a bug in the drink.
If you're in Rush City, this is the place for lunch. Good food, good prices, great service. I had the BLT, and my coworkers got the club sandwich. I also saw a couple burgers come out too another table. Everything looked great, and our sandwiches were in gave delicious.
Been playing for a year. Took a work contract in MN and lived nearby this course. I went 4 days a week for a month. I taught myself to golf on this course. Very little traffic in the afternoon, lot of days it was just me and a few other groups I'd see once in a while. The driving range is short at 200 yards to the furthest flag but it's open and lots of space. I almost never waited on a group ahead of me. Staff was great, the clubhouse and restaurant are alright, nothing special but the hot wings were damn good and they kept the beers coming on those days my slice had me down. Course itself is extremely underrated for the area. Location only is what makes this one an unfavorable course to most I've noticed. But if you're nearby or don't mind the drive you'll be rewarded with pace of play freedom, great fairways, greens, and tee boxes, bunkers were good enough and not impacted, the quality of grass here is phenomenal albeit a little soft, you'll feel like tiger woods ripping up divots so easily. Few of the holes are long, but I think it's a welcome challenge. I actually eagled the #4 608 yard Par 5 with the nastiest driver/3w/pw of my life. Definitely a great course. Bummed I don't live nearby anymore. Hope to visit again someday!
Ever wonder what it would be like to play those courses along the freeway? Well, you don’t wanna miss Bulrush because it actually looks great & has a pretty decent setup. It was 6900 yds from the blues so demanded good drives. Fairways were well taken cared for in October. Greens are big and challenging so pay attention to the pin placements. Clubhouse is simple but surprised they have two indoor simulators. I didn’t like the location of holes #9, #10 and the range. Might be frustrating if you had to walk. No really good directions for it either. I’m disappointed I didn’t play this course in the summer. Will have to definitely do so next year! Go test it out.
Absolutely Fantastic golf course. Wish we lived closer to it!. We were up in Canada fishing and had our clubs and saw this course on GolfNow for about 25 a person for 18 holes with cart. Wow! We were blown away what it had to offer. Nice challenging layout with lots of water, tight fairways, and fast greens. Course was in outstanding shape and for the price I wish we didn't live over 125 miles from this course or I would be back in a heartbeat!. Stop by and experience this course you even get a yardage/caddy book with the round.
Bull Rush Golf course is an awesome course! Very challenging course multiple tee boxes great staff very friendly the only thing missing the day we went out which was on a Thursday was there was no cart girl. But that was ok. Course was in mint shape they were actually cutting the greens and rough when we were playing on Thursday so you might want to remember that Thursday is there mowing day. They have a nice little practice facility a little putting green with some hills and brakes. You're able to chip in to it they have a driving range which is pretty good size it's a full driving range. Greens were in remarkable conditions Fairways were clear of debris and great play out of. Staff Force absolutely wonderful they let us go out early Pace was great a lot of singles out that day so we let a couple singles go by our 2 some. Overall five star quality five star care and they even have their own bar so at the turn if you want you can stop in and get any drink you want. I do know when the cart girl is out she carries mixed drinks as well for those who like to have a drink during the round. I prefer to smoke through my rounds but that's me LOL. Anyways go play this course you will not be disappointed! The Pro Shop is really cool. Again overall five star quality. This is a Hidden Gem in Rush City probably one of the best courses in Minnesota.
My wife and I decided to do twilight here as we have driven by it several times heading to the North Shore. We were greeted by friendly staff in the pro shop explaining the layout of the course as there are several long green to tees. Not a course to walk!! The course was in great shape other than our typical MN dirt sand traps. The greens are slower than what I typically play on by rolled good. The front is long and wide open for good scoring opportunities. The back is challenging with several needed placement shots with water and woods. I would definitely recommend this course and already have to friends and we will be visiting again.
I like layout of the course. The green is kind of rough. I recommend it, it's a fun challenging course.
Played this course for the first time this past week and was able to play 40 holes for $24 in less than 6 hours. I birdied 19 of the 40, eagled 3, had 8 double bogeys+, and had 10 pars. I take that back, I lied about most of the birdies and all 3 eagles. But I did have a great day, the fairways and greens are in excellent condition. If it wasn't a 50 mile drive I'd play it often, but it'll be great for the Interstate 35 Golf Trail which starts with Tanners Brook right after 35E&W come together and ends in Duluth at Northland CC if you know a guy or Lester Park if you don't. You can get more info on this by looking at Google Maps and figuring out which courses are in close proximity to 35. Then you drive north and stop and play the courses you'd like to and then turn around when done.
Very nice course, super long. Enjoyed my time. Would’ve given 5 stars if it had not been for the guy mowing the 9th green. He pulled to the side and left his mower running while I was trying to chip and put. A little distracting.
