There is good parking, plenty of carts, a restroom, a vending machine, and a change machine. It's not pretty. There's limited seating, but it's not usually crowded. Machines are affordable and functional. Definitely gets the job done. But the place can attract some rather unsavory characters on occasion. Bring a book... and pepper spray.
Definitely an older business, it wouldn't be a bad location by any means if it wasn't for the vagrants who enter and exit freely. Typically it is common to see one or two homeless drunks sleeping inside or coming in to use bathroom. The facilities are cleaned daily, yet the place has issue staying clean partly because of the vagrants and partly because the clients are not mindful of where the trash cans are as they leave cigarette butts all over front, empty food container on tables and drop garbage without care. The owners definitely make little attempts to manage the business. I would much rather they spent more time cleaning and running off the panhandling beggars. As for the value, this location is best value for the money locally. Using the multi load washers at $3.75 each with the dryers costing between $1 & $1.25 depending on load size to fully dry. Typically two hours is necessary from start of wash to folded and ready to leave. The amount of time is definitely time savings as I wash weekly for two households. Between my folks and I, we require 5 multi load washers for everything clothing & bedding which if washed in a standard home washer would require 11 or 12 loads. The money spent definitely is worth time saved. Would I recommend, yes. Could the facility be better managed, definitely.
I don't usually leave a single star review. I dropped off a suit jacket at 8am this morning. The lady at the desk asked if I wanted to pick it up tomorrow and I said no, I need it as soon as possible because I have an appointment tomorrow for which I need the jacket. She said it wouldn't be a problem, I said I would be back at 5pm. I came back this evening and they had not gotten anything done and just gave the jacket back to me in the same condition which I brought it to them. Employee owner? Was apologetic, but no closure. I know it was a miscommunication on their end, nothing intentional. Still leaves me out of luck. Will update if service improves.
Older building and not well kept. The homeless who sit inside the laundromat are rude, aggressive and need to be removed. This laundromat would have received a four star had my last three experiences not involved homeless asking for money and being out right drunk in public.
Really depends on what you're looking for. Of the two laundromats in Pierre this is the easisest to park in and largest. It is also the less well kept: scratches and graffiti on tables and chairs, overall feeking of decripit and older equipment. It is also the more expensive, with fewer larger machines. But while it is the harder to find of the two that isn't saying much in a town of 14k people. And that is also its greatest strength not being rihht off a two lane highwaynmeans navigation is easier as is getting into and out of the much larger parking lot.
Buhl's Dry Cleaners does a great job on our clothes and its a good thing they are in town, they are the only dry cleaners we have!
Best of local choices. Decent older facility, kept reasonably clean. Reasonably priced.
I didnt hate it disappointed no wifi available but overall satisfied
