Delicious and fresh dishes with fantastic service! Tried the Yunnan Stewed Beef Rice Noodles, Stir Fry Beef & Mushroom with ginger and onion Sizzling Hot Plate, Singapore Noodle and House Curry with Beef, Springrolls and some bubble tea milk drinks. All delicious. Food: 5/5
The food was amazing! Welcomed by friendly staff, you could tell they were excited for you to experience their yummy food. Our waitress provided recommendations which lead us to try the fried tofu. Having been a vegetarian in the past I can say this was truly the best tofu I've ever had! And I've had a lot. Plus their soup and beef noodles were delicious.
The best traditional Chinese food I’ve had in Canada. In the Chinese food desert of PEI, I never expected incredible Chinese food, especially in a Mexican-named restaurant. Buen Amigo. When we walked in for a Saturday lunch, all tables were filled with Chinese families, dining at big tables. Best sign of great food. Huge servings, big enough to share! We ordered a Hong Kong black pepper noodle dish and an eggplant pork dish. To die for!!!
From Vancouver and we have so much Chinese food there so our Chinese food standard is pretty high. Did not expect much from this Buen Amigo but was pleasantly surprised. Dishes came out together at a good speed. The food was also tasty, authentic and lots of "wok air" which is a good thing, you can hear the gas sound really go like vooooo!! when they are cooking. Can say, definitely a fair price for good food, but taxes are high if you haven't been to the Maritimes before. About 15 parking spots up front of the restaurant, more than enough for the size of the restaurant , so if all parking spots are taken that means you are not getting a seat inside anyway. Recommended, and will visit again the next time we are in Prince Edward Island.
This place was great and we will definitely be back. The menu selection was huge, the portions were pretty large, the flavor was amazing, price was reasonable, and the staff was awesome. It is nice to have more authentic Chinese restaurants on the island instead of the North Americanized food that typically plagues the island. Overall a very pleasant experience. Keep up the good work!
Wonderful restaurant! Ferry technical failure can’t stop us drive from Halifax for their fantastic meal!Food: 5/5
This is where you could get authentic mainland Chinese food! The owner is super friendly and helpful in recommending dishes. Very nice but busy place. Do have to wait a bit for the rush hours. But truly worth it. Every bite is just delightful.
Good service. Some menu items were no longer available.Food: 5/5
The beef noodle is good, though very little beef. The baked rice with eels was meh, not good not too bad. Service was super slow, I guess it was because we went there on Christmas Day. Lots of dishes were unavailable. Will come back to try other dishes.
This is by far the best noodle soup I have ever had in Canada. It’s flavorful, mouthwatering, and mesmerizing. It is the best comfort food. I will definitely come back :
