Buddha Art Palace

Spent over $50 on an incense holder and incense. The holder was not functional and defective and the store refused to EXCHANGE IT - I wasn't even asking for a refund or store credit. The reasoning the super rude lady who worked there gave me was they can't help their customers with these issues 'because of COVID'. All their items are bought from China and developing countries where there is lower manufacturing standards and quality control on products. Buddha Art is using COVID as an excuse so that they don't have to lose money on the defective items they sell. Also, if someone is returning an item, they can easily disinfect it or wait a period of time before putting it back on the shelf as every other store in Mont Royal does. I'm not sure how they can pretend to have a COVID policy. There was no hand sanitizer, the store was over capacity 9+ people, everyone was less than a meter from each other and the girls working there would take off their mask from time-to-time. But yet I can't return an overpriced, dysfunctional incense holder "because of COVID". Good to know what kind of business Buddha Art is so I can stop spending my money there and recommending my friends to go.

I've lowered my review to two stars due to the rude call I just had with the owner. I called to find out what the store hours are since they don't have any posted at the entrance to the store. After explaining to the person who answered the call that they should post their hours AND fix the hours listed on Google maps, the person didn't acknowledge this and simply hung up the phone. In person, the people who run this store are nice and they have some unique items that are worth a visit. I still plan on going back to the store in the coming weeks and will hopefully clear things up with the owner then and revisit this review.

Small but has a lot of variety! It’s quite pricey but worth it if you find something you like! Very good quality clothes.
