First time here and it most certainly did not disappoint! The cozy antique interior is wonderfully preserved and feels like walking into a time when things were just more simple. The food presentation and flavor were and it’s no wonder this place is a historic local establishment DO NOT MISS OUT! I recommend arriving early on the weekend to avoid a crowd :
Old-school diner in appearance but with a more modern, pared down menu. I saw lots of different options for Eggs Benedict but didn't notice some typical diner staples like pancakes or French toast on the menu the day I was there. Very accommodating staff and quick service. Recommended for a great local breakfast spot!Recommended dishesEggs Benedict
Huge portions and will definitely fill you up! Has a very old school diner vibe to it. Waitresses were fun and very kind. Kept the coffee cup full and food came out hot and fresh, it’s looks small from the outside but there’s plenty of seats inside. I got the Sinatra, which was a brisket hash, and with the potatoes, eggs and toast, great combo, everything seasoned right. Will 100% come again if In the area.
One of the best lox Benedict I’ve eaten. Place is small , but cozy. Service was friendly and fast.
So quaint! Loved everything about it geat food, great service! So retro, like I travelled time! You must go there!!Parking spacePlenty of parking
Such a cool friendly vibe, authentic as they come, complete with jukeboxes and old-school diner food. My companion's omelet was overdone in my opinion, but huge and stuffed with 3 meats plus veggies. Home fries were crisp, salty and delicious. I ordered the crab benny, which consists of 2 large crab cakes topped with copious Hollandaise and scallion. Very good, although not served hot but lukewarm. I wish the bell peppers would be omitted because, as in any cooked dish omelets pizza, sauces, soups, etc., they overpower every other flavor. Prices are high, $12-16 for breakt. The wait staff is phenomenal! Parking: Very easy and plentiful parking, plus curbside to-go spots
Step back in time at the Brunswick Dinner. Very retro! Excellent service excellent food.Food: 5/5
The food was excellent. I had corned beef hash with poached eggs. My wife had the biscuit and gravy. I recommend both dishes. The coffee was also good. They grind the coffee beans fresh for each pot.Food: 5/5
Visited the diner during Family Weekend at the local college and it was crazy busy and crowded, constant line. No worries -- the manager and staff were the best -- they opened up the outdoor patio, turned on the heater, fit people in there. They kept people in line updated and relaxed by checking in with us. They even set up a table with a carafe of coffee, cups, etc. to enjoy while in line. The food is to die for, of course, and the service is friendly, professional, and fun. Love this place and so respect the folks who do that hard work so well. Will definitely be back anytime we're in town!
Fantastic old-meets-new diner; homecooked style meals and some modern flair never considered a duck confit grilled cheese before, but I suppose it's just a new twist on a croque monsieur in a way Definitely worth the short detour on my way up the 95.
