Terrible customer service. There’s no way to get anyone on the phone. I used the live chat 16 times in the past 10 months and the rep stops communicating without resolving the problem or even giving me notice every single time. Today I had Feras and he did the same. I’m so fed up. We paid over $1000 11 months ago for a brand new printer, model number MFC-L3720CDW and had nothing but issues since the purchase. The printer is in mint condition inside and out. When I took it to Staples where I purchased it they said it was a power source issue, meaning the printer needed a dedicated breaker. We paid $400 for a master electrician to come in and install a dedicated breaker. Still had the same issue. Contacted brother via live chat multiple times since and they just keep disconnecting me. I thought Brother was a respectable company but I was very wrong. I’ve never had such horrible customer service in my life. Basically, my 1 year warranty will run out and I will be stuck having to throw this one out and buy a new one, obviously another brand. The amount of time wasted trying to fix this issue has been exhausting. A simple phone call could maybe have resolved the issue but they refuse completely. Please read the reviews on customer service before buying a Brother product . You could be lucky and get a unit that works fine but if by chance you get a lemon, you will have wasted your money for nothing. Customer service will only try to sell you extended warranty but you still will not get any help if you need it.
I have been a big fan of the Brother multi-function printers for a long time. I currently own an MFC-L2700DW and have always been impressed with the hardware, but I agree with the other reviewers that Brother's support and the software is very disappointing. Incredibly bad to the point where I will not purchase another Brother product.
The printer/scanner I bought makes terrible scans and copies, can’t be returned, exchanged or improved.nnBrother’s website and customer service is confusing, time consuming, and ultimately pointless to engage with.nnI've spent a lot of money and received only the means and motive to send a printer out of a third story window. I refrained, though it couldn't have made the thing any less functional.
I grew up trusting the Brother brand of printing devices. I decided to order straight from the Brother.ca website. Got my printer 14 days after ordering, and it arrived defective! Tray did not open/close properly AND it was scratched.nnCustomer Service said they do not process returns once the box is opened, even if it was defective. Visa Regulations say otherwise.nnTerrible service. Now I have to waste time escalating. It will take 3-5 business days for a manager to contact me back. Seriously?nnThis transaction just killed my trust in the Brother brand.
Absolutely horrific customer service. Returned a sewing machine, and was waiting for a refund. Two weeks pass by, tried to get in touch with someone to get an update and soon realized this was not possible whatsoever. I ended up calling the US line and had to get an employee there to send them an email for me. When I finally gained access to the live chat, it looks like something that you’d see in an early 2000’s episode of To Catch a Predator. It’s so unbelievably outdated. Furthermore, they told me that they were waiting for my package from UPS, despite UPS telling me someone at the return place had signed for it and gave me a specific name. They’ve been stringing me along about refund, saying they’ve escalated the situation yet they didn’t respond to me for a week after I had to email them three separate times. Finally, I had to do a chargeback with my bank because they told me that they were unable to refund me because my card information was wrong, and wanted me to give them my card info. Very VERY shady. They also told me that I had to REQUEST a refund, despite my unopened package being delivered back to them. So now I’m waiting for a $200 refund for over a month now. They gave me a number to call the “finance department” and of course even though I called during business hours there was no answer! I’m absolutely appalled and would advise anyone to take their business elsewhere. This company is a complete joke which is sad because I was really looking forward to receiving the sewing machine, but after this I will never even think about purchasing a product from them. Just hoping my bank can dispute the charge and I can get my money back and move on.
