Beautiful building but they can't seem to keep their trees alive. The old trees in the center had issues but the new ones they put in recently have mostly died off.nnIt's very unfortunate to see this as you walk into the building.
I had a similar negative experience with security that another reviewer had. After an appointment downtown I stopped at Brookfield Place simply to look at the food court area. A woman in a security uniform approached and inquired what I was doing. She made me feel very uncomfortable - like I was trespassing.nnI went to the washroom with the intent to leave immediately afterward. The security guard followed me into the washroom and stood near the stall and then watched me wash my hands. I asked her what she was doing and demanded an explanation for her odd behavior. Did she think I was doing drugs? She nodded her head in affirmation. In retrospect I should have reported her to her supervisor.nnI don't know why the security guard singled me out. Perhaps because I wasn't wearing a suit and carrying a shopping bag? She certainly left the women in high end clothing alone.nnI have never been treated like that. I have a Masters Degree and work in research. I don't feel the need to wear designer clothes plastered with garrish logos. I should not be judged and have assumptions made. I will never return to Brookfield Place.
Tallest building in Calgary. Has +15 steps to also visit the lower floors, and travel in between the other buildings. Right next to the train stop too. Its probably not too iconic in shape compared to the other buildings but definitely Calgary’s pride and joy.
Great +15, with real trees in foodcourt, they just added Mari Bakeshop
The tallest building in Calgary. Bright and modern style!
