This site is definitely unique and has a lot of history behind how it was built and the purpose it was built for in the 1800s. It is an amazing architectural design railway tunnel that is built with rocks and parts that had to be blasted out in order to get through the rock. It's also amazing to see that water still drains down inside some sections of the tunnel as a natural environmental effect. They have a unique mini train to take you through the tunnel on a mini historical tour.nAlso, you can purchase tickets for the Brookville Aquarium, which is also within walking distance of the train tunnel.
We visited last month and enjoyed this tunnel walk in changing lights which was giving relaxing vibes. The tunnel was cold too and in the end there was a park with beautiful sea view. I uploaded shorts on my YouTube Channel too.
We did the train ride with our little one. It was a really fun way to see the tunnel. The lighting effects are nice. The train engineer was very nice and light-hearted. He was funny and you can tell he loves his job, which is so nice to see :
We loved the tunnel, it was longer then we expected with a music and a light show it was worth the stop. They take donations but no tickets were required when we visited. It was nice and cool in the tunnel and the walk was a little slippery from water on the concrete floor.
We enjoyed a walk through and back but you can take a tour on a little train which we thought was super cute. As far as historical Canadian landmarks go, we think this one is worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.
