I've been going here since I was a kid and now I'm taking my son. This is the best place I've been to. They have always been nice and caring as well as making sure all of our questions are answered and answered in a way we can understand. Dr. Bengston has been the best, ever since birth. I would recommend Broadway Medical to anyone and everyone.
My one star review relates three key issues: 1 it is impossible to speak to any live person to schedule an appointment or get any information; 2 even if we leave messages, we do not get a call back; and 3; the availability of the providers is ridiculous - waiting months to get in is not acceptable. Please also evaluate the coverage during the lunch period. There should always be someone available to schedule appointments and answer the phone during business hours. This means that if a person is on a lunch break, there should be a back-up person that should answer the call. Don't tell us to keep on calling in the hopes that someone will answer the phone.
Used to go to Broadway a couple years ago. I am still dealing with the poor medical treatment and how it set my health back for years. Please ask all the questions before they put you on any treatment. Also, please get a second opinion on anything. Results were not actually read, medical treatment given, and years later, my health is worse than when I started the treatment. Beautiful new building, poor service and they just will google symptoms. I want a doctor who knows more than what I can find on webmd.
My kids have gone here almost there whole lives. All three pediatricians they've seen have been amazing. Staff has always been friendly and helpful. De. Hang in amazing, and the girls love her too.
I cannot overstate the exceptional care I have received from Broadway Medical Clinic for two decades via my Primary Care Giver Dr. Janis L. HOWATT Dr. Janis L. HOWATT MD has been my personal physician for two decades & this former Green Beret Officer & Mensa member had his life saved by Dr. HOWATT when she sent me to precisely the right cancer doctor a decade ago. And just Monday she discovered a very dodgy looking adhesion atop my ear and burned it off on the spot. There have been many immediate care calls along the way and she always gets me into her office in short order. I am trying to conjure up the best superlative & I pick: EXEMPLAR. Ps. I am nearly 80, my wife is 81 & Dr. HOWATT keeps us both finely tuned, thank you. Her fine performance is also a reflection of your good leadership…thank you! Capt. Jos. C. I have been a patient at the clinic for 25+ years. Originally with Dr. James Johnson superb and now Dr. Douglas Renouard the best. So why the two stars? Watch your EOB's from your insurance carefully before paying your statement and believing that it's correct! I am presently waiting on their accounting department to properly apply the payments from both Cigna primary and Medicare A&B yet they still send past due statements. Now a $5 administration fee to boot!! Ridiculous. Two letters and copies of EOB's send to BMC yet no correction, no apology. The $5 should come from the accounting supervisor. Without Dr. Renouard & his nursing staff, I'd find some clinic who understands insurance remittance application against amounts due Update Oct 18. After waiting for a response from either the "accounting" department or BMC's administrator, I was neither acknowledged nor answered. Real class act. To boot, whereas statements normally come out at the end of the month, I received nothing on September 30 showing a resolution to my issue caused by their failure. But like Ron Popeil used to say, "but wait, there's MORE"! Now on October 17, I received a statement showing I owed for an office visit October 11, 2021! One year after the fact, showing that once again BMC accounting did not follow up with my Medicare secondary coverage. It's almost like they are trying to get me with a year old bill that I never received? I'll say it again...never pay a statement without thoroughly researching what's "supposedly due".
On August 19 I was directed by BMC to provide a specimen at the LabCorp Lab located within the BMC office building. While I was sitting in the phlebotomy chair, the nurse told me I had an unpaid bill from May 2022, and that I could not receive further tests until paid. In fact, I had paid the bill in July and LabCorp's records were wrong. Despite my telling them this, I was made to pay again before they would perform my lab test. While LabCorp bears primary responsibility for this unconscionable billing practice, BMC LLP refers its clients to the LabCorp in their building and therefore also bears responsibility. BMC Executive Director Jason Steeprow agreed, when he promised me on August 21, that he would investigate. Since then I have heard nothing from BMC or LabCorp. I have also not received any follow-up on CT and ultrasound tests performed September 1. The BMC I have known and admired for decades is not the same place today. I am very sorry to say. Nov 2, 2022 update: After my second follow-up call on October 4, Mr. Steeprow finally called back, apologized, and put me in touch with a LabCorp rep named Greg. Greg was very apologetic, caring, and got my money refunded to me. I'm changing from 1 to 3 stars. While my faith in BMC business model is badly dented, I remain confident in the skill, dedication, and empathy of their doctors.
Easy to make appt, very nice nurse and doctor. Knowledgeable doctor, great communication. Highly recommend. I accepted the dermatology dept.
