This is a hidden gem for aviation enthusiasts, offering an unforgettable journey through British Columbia's aviation history. With its impressive collection of aircraft and artifacts, this museum provides a fascinating glimpse into the development of aviation technology and the role it has played in shaping the region. In addition to the remarkable aircraft on display, the BC Aviation Museum boasts an extensive collection of artifacts and interactive exhibits that immerse visitors in the world of aviation. The museum is also dedicated to honoring the men and women who have served in the Canadian Forces, featuring a memorial wall as a touching tribute. Whether you're an aviation enthusiast or simply curious about the history of flight, the BC Aviation Museum is an interesting destination, leaving you with a newfound appreciation for the marvels of aviation.
We had a wonderful time at the museum. The staff were so knowledgeable and shared some great stories and background to the rich history behind the various models and artifacts. Awesome life size planes and you can board a good variety of them too.
This is a well maintained museum. There is a lot here, especially for those with an interest in aviation history. The adjacent airport has a strong historical connection with military aircraft and military training. You will find plenty of this at the Aviation Museum.
Five stars and general admission of $15.00 are not enough to recognize the quality of this aviation museum as well as the dedication and work of the volunteer staff. Aviation history is deftly presented alongside brilliantly curated aircraft displays. Memorials to those who have served are also powerfully presented. My deepest gratitude to the staff and my highest recommendation for a visit. If you find yourself near the Victoria International Airport, do not miss the opportunity to spend an hour or more here.
Great little gem of a museum! Staff are some of the nicest folks and really passionate about the museum and sharing Canadian aviation history. Really reccomended.
I just attended my cousin’s wedding reception at the BC Aviation Museum and it was wonderful. The staff was so friendly and it was great to be surrounded by the planes and all of their history. The very best part was the kids section which kept multiple kids of various ages enthralled throughout the evening with real planes for them to “fly”, a model aircraft carrier to land a plane on and much more.
Not a typical museum. It's very alive with some very important and special aircraft. Tells about the wonderful history of aviation in BC. The tour guides are amazing, entertaining and knowledgeable. Fantastic aviation museum run mostly by volunteers. Went as a group of three friends, and we were fortunate enough to run into Ralph, who gave us an incredible tour of the museum. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Museum's planes and exhibits. It was truly a pleasure to experience this museum and check out all the numerous aviation displays that were available. Highly recommended to anyone thinking of going!
Very cool family friendly place to visit. Kids play zone is the best ever. Plan to spend 2 hours if you visit with children. There are lots of retired aircraft from wars, very impressive.
