My daughter has been going here since she was 17 months. The staff at BSMCI are beyond amazing everyone - the principal/director, the teachers, the morning registration teacher. I cannot thank them enough for the level of care they provide to all the children, and the events/themes they organize for the kids every week.nMy daughter is so happy here. The staff were also supportive during our first month in helping transition to a childcare setting - we slowly built up the hours day by day until our little one was comfortable staying for a full day.nI've read the review that someone found the school to be unresponsive and they didn't secure a spot - this is something that just cannot be true. The staff are available all day via phone, email and an app. They always answer the phone. And if someone is looking for a spot without paying for the first month, that has to be a clear misunderstanding. There's a shortage of childcare in the province, the government's own forecasts suggest Ontario will be short 8,500 ECEs in 2026. There are waitlists everywhere. You have to get in early, with a fee, to secure a spot.
Thankful this campus opened!nnSince the age of 12 months we have had our son at multiple daycare/learning centers in the south Caledon area and Bright Scholars is by far the most impressive.nnThe classrooms are BRAND NEW, with the best activity set up I have ever seen. The staff and teachers care greatly about child development, learning new skills as well as making sure no one is left behind. The confidence and independence developed in such a short time has blown us away as parents.nnDaily feedback to parents is shared in real time on an app each day keeping us informed and up to date without worry pictures too.nnWe are thrilled to see the advancement of our child’s skills since he started attending in November 2020. Practical life, physical education, fine motor, language, reading, math and socio-emotional skillsnnOur son loves “school” and we thank BS for making each day enjoyable.
We enrolled our son into this school since the very first day it opened Nov 2020. He was almost 2 and a half years old. We have nothing but great things to say and truly feel this was the best decision we have ever made for him in his life. He’s grown and learned so much in these last 6 months and he is developing at such a high rate. His teachers and principal are extremely welcoming and comfortable to speak with.nThe school is near by the home and right next door to the OPP station, which gives us an extra sense of security. My son has made lots of friends and during a time like this being in a pandemic I’m so glad he gets to witness and feel some kind of “normal” in his life and not completely isolated from the world as we all have kind of had to be and adapt to because of lock downs and stay at home orders.nI can continue to go on and on about reasons why I love and recommend this school to anyone who is thinking about enrolling their child/children.nThis is my sons first school he’s ever attended and I am so proud to have him here. He gets excited to go to school every single day and that just shows how comfortable he is and how much he is enjoying being here.
My husband and I spoke to the director in May of 2022 to enroll our daughter in for Jan 2023. Let me start off by saying, they do not respond to emails for months and getting a hold of them takes a few calls. Imagine your child is their care and they cant respond to your email or get to the phone.. She told us she would have availability in Jan, she gave us forms to fill. She mentioned if we get the forms in to her soon, she can secure a spot. Just to ensure we have a spot we filled and dropped off the forms within 24 hours. Fast forward to August, we sent an email to confirm our spot because she did not want to take a deposit, she didnt respond so we called and got a confirmation that my daughers spot is good to go. By the way, we just got her response to the email a week agooctober, 2 months later. She told us she did not tell us we had a spot in jan which she did at least 3 different times. She said we are on the wait list, but theres no secure spot. She told us she did not promise us a spot, which she did. Then told us if we put our daughter in part-time in December, we can be first in the list for Jan for full time. So we agreed to that and called her back within 10 minutes, she said someone called in that TEN MINUTES and took that part time. Full of lies, so I would not send my kid to someone who lies and is unreliable. I would highly recommended against this daycare. We're actually so glad this happened before my daughter was sent to her care.
Bright Scholars Montessori is an exceptional, professional and well organized preschool for my 3 year old daughter. They go above and beyond to facilitate independence in young children and teach them practical life skills. My daughter has learned so much in just 6 months in the program. A very big thanks to all the teachers/principal that work with all the children they are amazing at what they do!
