Let me start off by saying that we have not installed our floors yet. That will be a few weeks still, but we picked up 760 Sq ft of Red Oak 4.25". Both Andrew and Thomas were very customer focused and enthusiastic about their work, which came across in the time and effort they took with me and my wife. Thanks very much for having such diligent personnel. As to the flooring we love what it looks like in the boxes and can't wait for the installer to complete the process. We will follow up with another review in a few weeks. With pictures. Finally had a day to upload some pictures of the house almost finished. Thanks again to all the folks at Breezewood. The installer said the flooring was not the best nor worst the he has worked with. We counted about 10 boards he set aside with bad flaws that couldn't be used, about a case worth. There was some cupping initially after installation even though the boards sat inside our home for 3 months. We guess it's because the AC was off. Overall we are still very pleased with the results.
Our experience with Andrew at Breezewood Floors was outstanding! We did everything online and by phone from out-of-town. Andrew was knowledgeable, patient, kind, always accessible and exceeded our expectations. To boot, he referred us to a master floor installer. Five-star diamonds for Breezewood Floors!
My wife and I, were in the store for some flooring, we noticed the beautiful tongue and groove barn board wall covering, we had to get some to do an accent wall in our kitchen. It turned out fabulous, we have had many compliments. I put it up myself and found it very easy to work with. We ended up going back for more, twice, we liked it so much. The staff was fabulous and overall, a great buying experience. Pine tongue and groove ceiling also from BREEZEWOOD'S.
We are so happy with our decision to purchase from BreezeWood Floors. As soon as we entered the showroom, we were graciously welcomed and the staff were happy to answer any questions that we had. The showroom was refreshing to visit as all of our options were presented as a larger display and not just a small piece of flooring so you are able to envision what the flooring would look like in your home. The customer service experience was beyond our expectations, as everyone had a wonderful friendly attitude and were happy to assist us. When we received our order, the delivery drivers were fantastic and you could tell that they took pride in their product and took special care when unloading. Our overall experience from start to finish was fantastic and would highly recommend BreezeWood Floors!
I normally do not write negative reviews but in this case feel compelled to do so. Our breezewood floors were installed in May of 2017 as seen by the floor on the right. The picture on the left was taken 7 months later. The fading of the floors took place over the winter and we do have natural sunlight in the house as do most homes. Our windows are not old and we do have window coverings which were drawn during any sun exposure. As well every room no matter which way it faces has fading in front and in some rooms well into the room. The only parts of the floor that are still rich in colour are floors that are totally covered in rugs or in a room that has the shades drawn 90 per cent of the time. This was a special order so no one else would have this particular lot of hardwood floor. Everyone who has come in to our house is shocked by the floors demise and surprised that the company will not stand behind their product and that their response is that this is what happens to their hickory hardwood floors. Had I known that their hickory floors fade to yellow , I would have purchased my hickory floors from another company. We have had hardwoods before and this has never happened. Please be aware, if you have any windows in your home BreezeWood hickory is not for you. Just as an aside none of our furniture or fabric on our chairs has suffered any damage. If they have never had a complaint before then it doesn't make sense why this has happened in an isolated incidence. Picture to right is the newly installed hickory floor, picture to the left is the same section of floor which actually looks less yellow then in real light. You can see the colour variation is gone. As an update to my initial response- first I would like to make it clear that the fading of any of the browns in the hickory floor began to fade within 3 months in every room. The floors 2 years later are worse in every room regardless of the windows and sun exposure direction. We have suncreen blinds and window coverings which I use daily. Also the floor is prone to excessive dents and scratches with normal wear. There are only 2 of us in the house no pets. Extremely disappointed with this floor and as it was a special order I stand by my conviction that there is something wrong with the coating as does anyone else that sees the floor. Have now had to cover some of the flooring with rugs to hide the discolouration. Beware! They may have a good product but if there is a flaw they do not stand behind their product!
Could not be happier. The boards were almost all usable although some were just a little dark so we collected them and will use in a small room. Very straight and 8-9% moisture when I picked-up. Still left for 2 weeks to acclimate. Very positive experience.
One year ago we moved to Norfolk County. We wanted hardwood floors in our new house and were looking for a local Canadian company. BreezeWood fit the bill perfectly. They had great choices and we love our Hard Maple Reactive floors. I also recently did my studio with White Ash White Wash - love it!!! Great People, Great Service, Great Products!
My family was building a new house, we went to the Breezewood showroom and were warmly welcomed and had all our questions answered. We ordered a maple flooring and were told it was going to be an 8 week wait which we were slightly hesitant about but decided it would be worth the wait. 8 weeks comes and goes and we hear nothing. Calling was difficult because often nobody answered. Finally we get an answer and they say it will be another 4 weeks. 4 weeks goes by and nobody answered the phone, my parents had to drive to Breezewood in order to get an answer to which they say it will be another 2 weeks. 2 weeks goes by and then they say a week and a half which also passes, to which we call we always had to initiate the call, they did not once update us they had not even started milling our flooring. We then decided to cancel the flooring. We are not impressed with the lack of communication and were not even able to receive a product at all. So I have no clue the quality of product. They also told us that we should be grateful that we got our deposit back on the flooring after 19 and a half weeks of waiting when they said it would take 8! We are quite understanding people but we didn't have a great experience with Breezewood.
We had BreezeWood natural red oak wood flooring installed in our farm in Port Rowan 12 years ago and it is still in perfect condition! As a matter of fact we just completed a kitchen renovation that required additional flooring and the new flooring matched the old perfectly . We are so happy with the overall look and the minimal amount of care required to maintain it. Highly recommend this flooring .
Don't buy the XL Rustic flooring! I bought over 2000 sq ft and they were all different heights so the floor has ridges. Pieces were damaged and several pieces were unusable as they had black stains measuring over 6-8". The lengths and widths were not a problem but the heights were. The floor is not smooth, has ridges and you can see the uneven seams. Update: I requested a hardwood that would stand up to three dogs and was told the hickory was one of the hardest floor and would do the job. After 1.5 yrs there are scratches everywhere and I keep the nails trimmed. There are also small pieces that are coming off the floor and now have holes in spots where dirt and dust collect.
