What a great find. Classic bakery. Loved the buns. Had some cinnamon loaf. Gingerbread was excellent. Great to see a old school bakery still exists. I didn't have the breads and other yummy stuff. I will defiantly come back to try some other good stuff. Only thing that I was surprised was the CASH ONLY. Would love to see them use a newer POS system with CC.
The apple fridder was the bomb. Your eyes will be bigger than you stomach. Lovely establishment, although it was cash only so be prepared. An Uxbridge secret, 5 stars.
Bredin’s bakery is an absolute pleasure to deal with. I reached out to them on Facebook regarding a gender reveal cake and I had a response back in minutes! Not only were able to accommodate my last minute requests, but they were also the sweetest humans . Thank you so much for the beautiful cake. We will definitely be back! Ps: they also have the most amazing apple fritters
Delicious baked goods. Priced just right! Old fashioned style shop. No bells and whistles in the atmosphere but thats because they put all the attention into the Delicious food. Its perfect just the way it is. Best gingerbread men I have ever had! The cheese bread is amazing. I will admit i wasn't a huge fan of the donut i had but that won't stop me from continuing to return. The smell from the shop pours out into the street and tickles your taste buds before you even make it to the store. Step back in time with this great little bakery!!
I've been going here since I was a kid. The atmosphere is that of your standard small town bakery. It's not going to look like a specialty bakery like the ones you see in the city, but don't let the looks deceive you. The women are both very friendly, and they work long hard hours. If you want a good sized fritter, a soft moist cupcake, or some soft gingerbread men, this is your place. It makes you feel like a child again, looking at all the treats and colours. They take a lot of care in their food and I hope the bakery lives on.
Apple fritters are huge and delicious. Everything is clearly baked fresh, arrive earlier in the day for the most selection. I didn't know what an Eccle was until I bought one here and now I'm addicted. Their blueberry pie is very good, the filling has a little something extra. Only thing that someone may have issue with is a lot of their items contain nuts, but I love that.
So we recently had been talking about donuts. And we don't want Timmies donuts we want REAL donuts. So every time we would drive by Bredin's Bakery, we'd salivate. I finally took a day off and we walked into town and hiked the trails and decided that as a reward, we would stop in and finally give in to our donut craving. We got turnovers, we got honey buns, we got filled donuts, we got plain donuts, we got apple fritters and more. Everything was exquisite. The Apple Fritters take the cake though. And our Cherry I can't remember the exact name, stuffed pastry? pastry thingy was SOOOOO good. Will be going back to try out more and to get some more Apple Fritters and stuffed pastries. Most definitely!
We came here from Newmarket and Stouffville as we heard good things. The Apple fritters are amazing! I wanted one of everything, it all looked so good. We also got choco dip donuts which were good. Will definitely be back for more visits to try more things. The young girl at the counter didn't seem very happy though.
The ladies in there were very friendly to my mother I didn't really notice myself. While the bakery is very clean looking with it's white walls it also gives off a very sterile atmosphere not homey or appetizing at all. Bland even with all the knickknacks they have out for Easter. It's all very blah and the display cases look very dated the way the food is displayed made it look boring nothing was jumping out at me until I saw the beaver tails and pretzels in the window. Food was OK we tried the apple fritters, beaver tails and cheese pretzels. They weren't bad but they also weren't anything that I'd be making a trip to Uxbridge for but if you're in the area and want something sweet I'd check them out.
Best bakery in town. My family have been ordering their birthday cakes for years and no one else compares. Their sugar cookies are amazing. And their butter tarts are something to write home about! They also make an amazing cheese cake. Yeah the store may not be appealing, but the baked goods are all the appeal you need!
