Scenic/historic downtown and visited there for the day by train. Plenty of interesting shops and restaurants and breweries to fill an afternoon. If the winter mess was a bit better cleaned from the sidewalks I would’ve given it 5 ’s. That would’ve been nice esp since I’m the central downtown core one is walking up or down a hill in many places.
A hole in the wall station once the new one is done staff will be more happy and welcoming
Amtrak is a joke. After heavy rains all services were cancelled. The Brattleboro station told us to sit tight as they were sending buses. The buses never came and we were stranded for 8 hours.
This train takes me home, from one home to another one. What a gift to get to travle and look at the world. The station has a nice indoor waiting area, having all the amenities on may need, but there is limited seating and smells from the bathroom inside of it. The station consists of a lower level platform and has a big gap between the steps and platform. With daily service, this is a good station.
