Today, at around 11:04 a.m. on Friday, November 7, I was going to take Bus No. 20 Shellard. I had just gotten off another bus and was about to board this one. Instead of checking the sign, I asked the driver if the bus was going to FreshCo. Rather than answering politely, the driver told me to read the sign when I got off the bus, then closed the door and drove away. Her attitude was completely rude and reflected very poor customer service. Because of this, I had to wait more than 30 minutes for the next bus.
the new routes are ridiculous. the 20 and the A both have two different routes which is confusing, the stop outside of BCI was removed even though a ton of students used it, buses are never at the terminal at the same time anymore so you end up waiting like 40 minutes for a transfer so if the bus is late, which it usually is, say goodbye to another $3, and i swear there's never a stop where i need one anymore. WHO were these changes for??? because i haven't seen a single person say anything good about them. there's also this one desk lady at the terminal who is genuinely the most hostile worker i've ever encountered, i don't know her name but i'm sure you've had complaints about her before. bus drivers are rude to homeless and disabled people, and get annoyed at passengers when the ticket reading machine doesn't work even though it doesn't work for anyone. the terminal doesn't even have wifi, even though all of the routes AND the app you have to use for your fare are on your phone and require it. tldr: nothing works and everyone is unhelpfulnnedit: oh yeah also, the bus barely got me to work from my school on time BEFORE the new winter schedule, but now because of this weird and arbitrary schedule change i genuinely have no idea how i'm gonna get there. are you guys just gonna keep making everything worse every few months or??nnedit 2: got on 4C, and the driver literally FLOORED it on the gas before i even had a chance to sit down. if i hadnt caught myself i would've cracked my head open on the steps. who is training these people?
Impossible to transfer even though they claim you can on their site. Their schedules are wrong because they are always so late. Even when one bus is only 30 second away from arriving at the terminal, all the busses leave making you have to wait 30 minutes. So to combat this I take the even earlier bus, and wait at the terminal for 30 minutes so I don’t miss the bus I actually need.nInsane to have to do this.nNow they have chaged routes/schedules again so I either have to always risk missing my bus they always leave 30 seconds before my bus arrives or now wait 45 minutes.nSo I’ll be buying a second car so neither my husband or I have to do this anymore. The cost of two cars is far worth never having to depend on brantford transit again.nI won’t even go into detail about how rude some of the drivers are.nPlease someone in charge, go to any city in Durham region, ask whoever is in charge there to give you some notes.
Terrible Service by Brantford Transit Specially Drivers. I am taking Route A on regular basis same time everyday. Sometimes bus is late sometimes they left early, I feel Drivers don't care about being on time, though you are ahead of departed time you will miss bus. This shows Drivers do their own and rude most of the time.nnAlso Route A is very unpredictable. Sometimes I am being asked to get off at transit and asked to get another bus.nDoes not make any sense if you have to get of at transit to choose another route.nnImprove your services not excuses.
Some of the drivers are rude, but for the most part, they're extremely helpful when you have a question. Just witnessed a driver yell at a girl today for no reason.nnMy main gripe is the new route system. None of the busses line up anymore, so now I have to leave extra early to get to where I need to go, because it's common for your next bus to be gone from the terminal by the time your first arrives, then you have to wait another 30 min for one to show up. They don't meet up on the hour anymore. It's extremely frustrating and I don't see how this is better for those of us who have to use public transportation.nnOh and the busses are ALWAYS a few minutes late. No reliability. Edit: my bus was almost TEN minutes late today. Because of this ridiculousness, I have to take a bus that makes me way earlier to work than I need to be. If the busses were consistently on time, I could catch the next bus and still be on time, but instead I have to waste an extra 45 minutes of my time standing at a freezing cold bus stop hoping that they're not super late this time.
