I give 5 stars because the person at the Via desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The station itself is in a rough end of town and in need of grave renovations but still functions fine.nDuring the day is fine but I would not recommend parking your vehicle over night here as it will most likely be stolen or broken into.
I had the pleasure of showing up at 6:30 had a wonderful conversation with the attendant before having an amazing trip. I cannot overstate how consistently amazing via is
Going through major construction project around station. Very little parking. Washrooms were ok in main bldg. Convenient to university etc. Walking distance to my relatives.
The person who is at the counter the one with the beard is the rudest person I have met so far in my life. I am a regular traveller by via rail for work from Brantford to Toronto. I have never ever missed my train before, but all this time in my travel history Via rail train were 70% of the times late because of the various reasons and i never complained and they never offered any discount unless it was late for 1 hr or more.nnI usually take 7:27am train, but today I was scheduled to take 8:48am train but because of the traffic i reached at 8:46am and the train doors were closed, I was waiting outside and doors never opened and I went to the counter to ask for an explanation as i missed my meeting and i was upset I pay $80 per day for these tickets I have every right to be upset in this economy.nnThe person at the counter instead of helping me, he argued and lectured me about been on time technically I was on time in-fact 2 mins before time, on that note I said that 70% of the times in my travel history the Vial rail were late because of which i had been late for my work often, nobody gave me any discount or refund all I got was an apology. On that he said we don’t wait for you, you need wait for the us train. The audacity to give that answer when Via trains are late most of the time . Simply disgusting!!!nnHe could have said call the helpdesk see if they can help, instead he argued the whole time and he wasn’t even at his desk i had call him to get his attention and he was lecturing me about been punctual.
It’s charming and for what it is it’s pretty nice. You can see how grand it was back in the day. Now it’s got no purpose other than being a stop. No shop or restaurant or even a nice indoor waiting area.nServed by VIA rail only on the rail side. If at least the trains were on time
