Easily the best post office in Burlington, and I've used most of them over the years. If you have issues here, you're the problem
I go out of my way to pick up a package only to find a sign posted. Clerk is on break and be back at 7pm. That's 20 min I had to wait, they should have a back up clerk to cover. It is Canada post after all and not some variety store. Also it is peak hours when most are returning home from work. This is a joke
Staff take too many breaks. No one likes waiting 30 minutes for a simple package drop off. Terrible location, stay away.
If you want to use Canada Post, print your labels at home. If you are unsure about something, call the customer service. Most of the people on Canada Post counters do not know what they are doing and will charge you way more than they should. They say they want to help small businesses but if you are looking for a cheaper shipping solution, do not use your small business registration card. I have been ripped off so many times in this branch. I will NEVER use their over the counter service.
I always use this Shoppers Drug Mart Canada Post location. The customer service is consistently bad. Whenever I’m waiting in a huge line because one of the employees keeps making the same mistakes every week. Always messing up previous customers tracking/shipping info, taking the wrong stickers from the wrong package and putting it on the other package. Not listening to information given by said customer. Happens every week with one Canada Post clerk in particular, without fail. So every other customer is then left to wait even longer. It’s the same all the time. I requested the clerk be more considerate and put care into how she was handling my packages that I was sending off, because they are fragile, and she kept throwing them around literally tossing them on the counter, throwing a debit machine on them, squashing them when she’d move or pick them up, etc. I politely requested she take the debit machine off and just be more gentle in general and her response was “They’ll go through worse.” I understand working for minimum wage, part time in customer service is hard, and you don’t get paid enough for what you’re dealing with, but me as the customer always positive and friendly.. It’s really apparent and makes for an unpleasant experience each time. You as the employee are in control of your actions, how you treat your career and what you’re delivering and promoting. What the next person might do, isn’t an excuse to be neglectful and act careless with someone else’s belongings. Every clerk in this location absolutely hates their job. The standards Canada Post sets on how customer service should be with their company and how they preach about hiring personable, helpful employees is not reflecting in reality. I dread coming here but the only reason I use this location is because it’s closest. I definitely do not come back for the employees or any “positive” experiences. It’s just simply my only option, as the other one local to me is worse than this place. Each clerk gives a different answer for arrival time. I do not trust any of the information I’m being given as truthful or useful to inform whoever I’m sending this to. It always feels like I’m negotiating with the clerks to give me an answer, they act like it’s an unreasonable ask… however that is the entire point of being a “postal clerk”. I’d love to see some people that work here that don’t completely hate their lives, and take pride in their work regardless of what they are doing. Easter Monday does impact the hours of the post office. The website and googles answers for their hours are very misleading, the store itself opens at regular times 8:30 am I believe but the post office opens at 10am.
I went and handed over my parcel at 6:30pm to this branch in person on feb 4 , 2020 but the lady did not scan it and was not delivered . As the lady asked me to hand her the package as it already had the label on it. The package was worth $400 . The parcel has been lost. They are not willing to pull up the video footage showing that I handed over the parcel to them. So it’s my loss. Zero customer service..
Hard to get a hold of by phone. No direct line. You have to call Shoppers and go through their long messaging system to eventually connect to an answering machine that doesn't take messages. Not good in a pandemic.
I’ve been going to this location for years and found their staff polite and professional. I’ve never had any issues.
I have had no problems with this canada post at all, they hired all new staff so all previous reviews are redundant.
The ladies behind the desk are always helpful.
