Branch County Memorial Park

My honest review having had over 30 years of experience with the place. I basically spent my childhood there. Man it was the place to be back then! It was well kept, beach house with showers, concession stand, and Lifeguard. This is a good place for a day trip. Not a good place to camp if you are not seasonal. They cater to the seasonal campers and the seasonal campers are very snooty and rude to weekend campers. The "sites" are overpriced for not having water. There are no markers to distinguish the sites. If they don't want weekend guests venturing over to the seasonal area, they should update and put showers in the beach bath house. Reserved a cabin one year, which are very nice by the way, but they gave away the one that was reserved and had to take the other one in the less appealing location. If you rent the pavilion, I think they turn off the electric because the last couple years it hasn't worked but worked the day before. I recommend the place for a day trip. Nice beach. Awesome pier. Boat launch. Playground. They haven't updated the entry to the park and still require quarters after all these years. Just isnt a very welcoming place for weekend campers. Id give it 4 stars for a day trip and 2 stars for camping.

Beautiful park that is very well maintained. We will be going back in the future.

Great place to cook out , kids play at a pretty big park, clean Beach and swimming
