Boxcar Coffee Shop

The Boxcar Coffee Shop is a unique new pet friendly coffee shop in North Edmonton that I predict will become a favourite for many people It is a must try if you want a great coffee experience. The coffee is amazing; the tasty turkey breakfast sandwich was a hit; and the patio feels warm and welcoming, with apple trees for shade and beautiful plants giving a sense of privacy. There is feeling of home elevating your experience to another level. This is a great place to bring your date, or to simply get away and relax with a great cup of coffee. My wife and I had great service and definitely delicious coffee and snacks. Owners, Jesse and Antonio, make a great combo and they make your feel right at home. Everything they serve is top notch and the food is prepared in their kitchen, fresh and well presented. A true gem in an up and coming neighbourhood. There is ample street parking or nice bike access. I highly recommend this coffee house to any family and friends. We are so lucky to have something like this in Edmonton! 5/5 stars all the way!

Service was great. I had questions and they were all answered with detail. No almond milk my preference, but they do have oat milk. I ordered a mocha with oat milk to drink and it was the best mocha I've ever had. For food I ordered a breakfast sandwich, it was amazing but a little on the small side glad it came with chips. I also had a Rosette cookie, i did not expect it to be hollow and as crispy when described as a "churro cookie". It was a snowflake shaped giant piece of cinnamon toast crunch. Which happens to be my favorite cereal, so it was amazing. I also added a photo of their amazing, psychedelic washroom. It's necessary. I do apologize for the person before me leaving the toilet wide open though. XD Dietary restrictions: Oat milk available Parking: Some spots out front shared with other businesses, but lots of residential street parking within a block away.

Great little coffee place! I grew up in the neighbourhood so it's nice to see businesses choose to open up in a more established area. Revitalized homes, streets and businesses are happening in this area. Just look at the concept... Coffee shop and patio green space and a back yard with grass. Very unique, very inviting and of course the coffee and treats are tasty. Question... Where were you 20 years ago?!

Over the past ten years I’ve tried to visit as many YEG coffee shops as possible, keeping my eyes open for any new gems. I had driven by Box Car before they opened, and the space immediately caught my eye. I was finally able to check it out this weekend and was so impressed. It might be one of the most beautifully designed cafes I have ever been to. The outdoor patio is lovely, green and dog friendly, and large sliding doors open up for summer months for a fresh, open, easy transition to the inside of the cafe. The vibe inside is very warm and welcoming and makes you want to sit and stay awhile. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design, and the art that is featured on the walls is gorgeous and compliments the space so nicely. To top it off, the gentleman serving us was amazing, and so kind, and our coffee was delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough, and I can’t wait to visit again! Sounds like they’ll be expanding their hours eventually, which I look forward to! Wheelchair accessibility: Accessible bathroom with a fold down bar on one side and another grab bar mounted to the wall. A very inclusive addition!

Definitely had a wonderful atmosphere. Very nice to go on a breakfast date and their outdoor space is stunning. I had a few of their Bakery items with a chai latte. Worth a try if you are looking for a new spot. Prices were very reasonable and affordable. I love that they have no dairy milk options for your drinks. However I wish I would've seen some pastry items that were also vegan or dairy free to choose from. It would be nice as alot of people have food allergies so having those options would be amazing. I still ended up getting a few pastries which were not dairy free but so good I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try them . The staff and the service was lovely. The Rosetta cookie is divine and a must try! You might want it get 2! Follow for more authentic, helpful reviews from this mama of 4!

Amazing location. I met 3 friends on a Sunday and enjoyed our lattes & scones on the beautiful plush green atmosphere of the patio. Great experience from service to atmosphere. Even met some new neighbors! We'll be back!Food: 5/5

New coffee shop on the north side ‼ @boxcarcoffeeshop opened just last week and is hidden in the neighborhood of Calder. You can easily tell they put a lot of effort into their space - there are so many great details on the inside. Even the exterior of the building itself is very unique and worth checking out. We tried their cappuccino, tres leches cake, and horchata popsicle which were all super tasty

My complaints: limited seating, extremely limited food options that are dairy free, gets a bit crowded inside when busy since it’s a small space Pros: friendly staff, very cute and well decorated, street parking and quiet, my fiancé loved the espresso

Had a vanilla latte and a breakfast sandwich. Both came out fast and were excellent. Patio is super cool and relaxing. Plenty of parking available.Food: 5/5

Very nice garden with delightful atmosphere! Friendly staff and delicious drinks, will go back for sure! There is free parking spots in front of it, don't worry about parking. The garden is also welcome to your dogs!Food: 4/5
