Terrible receptionist who was extremely unprofessional during my call on Feb 1st at 11am MST! My family doctor retired who was fantastic! but I was not notified of this change at any time. They said that letters went out previously, but I have not received this yet. They were kind enough to book me in with an alternative doctor for this morning for a standard prescription re-fill. I was calling to check in on my appointment today after the scheduled time had passed, and the purpose of my call was to re-schedule to a later slot even 30 minutes later would have worked. It was not disclosed that a prescription appointment could have a 30-45 minute call window, and I stated during the booking process that I had a commitment at 11am. Today, the receptionist refused to update my appointment time as I had not received a call from the doctor yet at this time and marked me as a "no-show" and said she would be charging for a missed appointment. She requested that I do not call back in the future as they will not re-book for this appointment, and I will have to wait until I find a new doctor. I am now nearly out of my required prescription, and no alternative solution was able to be determined during this call. I would not recommend this clinic if they are taking patients in the future! I previously had great experiences at Bowmont, but it appears their culture has changed towards patients.
I've been going to this clinic for about 20 years and the current staff are the kindest we've ever had. They are happy and helpful. Previously, front staff were very unhappy and some of the previous reviews may have been relevant. I have seen many different doctors there as it is a team practice and have generally been pleased with the care I have received. Hope they take on new patients soon as there is a shortage of care in Calgary at the moment!
Has become the worst clinic experience. Our Dr. retired - the premise of the clinic was that if one Dr could not assist, we were open to see others. Apparently with retiring, letters are sent to patients - we do not recall getting this letter and now are transferred out, so we no longer have a place. We have been patients there for over 20 years. Apparently a personal letter was sent from the Dr. Wow!!! In following up, it has taken 3 calls and over 5 weeks to get answers. I was informed other Dr's are retiring and others will go through this experience. Unfortunate.
Receptionist are rude and crass. They will drop you as a patient without you knowing. Never see the same doctor twice in a row as they are coming and going from this clinic like it's a revolving door. If you are two minutes late for your appointment they cancel your appointments and charge you a fee. This clinic proves that they are all about the money by overbooking appointments and not caring about a person's health in the least.
Minimal caring.. if any. My wife and I were both dropped without any prior notice. Dr appts were made with one dr then upon arrival we were put with another with no warning. And the dr was rude to my wife as she was struggling with just being out of the hospital. This is NOT a place I'd recommend for family 'care'.
It's been hit and miss here for me. I've had some really great experiences and some really not so great, one included missing a red flag on my lab work and brushing it off as nothing to worry about. I had called today to get an update on a referral sent to them for X-Rays by my physio. Low and behold I find out I'm no longer a patient with them. My Dr. had left to work in a hospital and they only then told me just now that there was a "deadline" to book a meet and greet with a new Dr. there. They said they sent a letter, which I never received and now they had no options left for me, as this Dr couldn't take anymore patients and no other Dr's I could book with, even though when I started going they have a program where other Dr's in the practice can cross care for you. Needless to say I'm feeling very disappointed. I feel that's not how you care for patients in any circumstance. I feel I've always been kind, never missed an appt. or late as far as I know. I did hang up on the receptionist today because I was just so upset. Not in an angry way, I just had no words for the unprofessionalism shown by this clinic and the staff.
I think my doctor is really great. Dr. Braich is thorough. I don't go often. When I do, even though the medical system is super pressed and doctor's offices are so busy, he will sit and take time to listen to you and he cares. He's younger and hip so he uses technology which I appreciate - meaning he enters my exams etc. into his system and then his office gets reminders to follow up. It's a great way to stay connected to clients. In a medical system that is pushed to the seams, he really does do his best to be present when he's in the room with you and he is kind. Also as a female I know a lot of ladies would prefer a female doctor. He's super respectful and he gives you the option of always having a nurse in there for any physical type stuff. The staff at the front are sometimes stressed and may come off a bit abrupt but they are so busy and the phones are ringing off the hook so you have to cut them some slack.
I was in the family Share Care. You don’t have a specific Doctor, but you could choose. It worked well until Kenney became Premiere and Doctors were leaving. So I was assigned to Dr.La Borde. Not good! She had no empathy and did not like the patient asking questions and wanting their input. I’m now looking for another Doctor. Probably one of the worst Doctors I’ve ever had. This Clinic is not a Walk In. You may find a Doctor you like here.
Dr. Ellis has been my family doctor since I was about 2 years old. I have always received nothing but amazing care from her and the other doctors in the practice. I always feel welcome and well cared for when I visit the clinic. I am so thankful for Dr. Ellis and all the other doctors in the office, when she isn't available.
Called into book an appointment and it was all set up until they asked me if I was vaccinated. When I replied no they said they would have check with the doctor, Dr Stanich, to see if that was okay,.and get back to me. The receptionist then brought up the the fact I had not been into the doctor since 2015. Ya correct. Healthy people don't generally go see the doctors. Of course they never did call me back so I called back to confirm the appointment and they put me on hold. After a few minutes they told me they couldn't see me cuz I hadn't been there since 2015. Ya right.
