10/10 I wouldn't recommend. They charge an extra daily fee if you have a pet, yet your pet isn't allowed to make noise even though the campground backs into an off-leash dog park with hundreds of dogs and people coming through daily don't expect privacy on Riverside, can't use the laundry facilities if you have pet hair on your clothes. Children though, can run, cry, and scream all hours of the day without supervision and there isn't an extra daily fee for that.
My wife and I stayed at this RV Park in June of 2023. The park is in the suburbs just outside of Calgary and anything that you might need is close by including shopping, lots of restaurants, etc. The park itself is very well laid out with large level sites, beautiful landscaping and the lovely Bow river running along one side of the park. The staff is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.
we enjoyed our stay at this campground. Echoing other reviews one of the cons is that you can’t control temperature of the water and it is a bit inconvenient that you will have to keep coins on hand to be able to shower. Another suggestion I have is to have the laundry room open a bit longer into the night than 9pm. We were out sightseeing during the daytime and it was hard to make it back in time to do laundry. All in all, it was enjoyable experience staying here. We would definitely stay again.
We stayed from Oct 20-31, 2023.n26ft motorhome with slide, heated tanks on a full hookup sitennAs in any small town, its all about who you know.nOur timing may not have been great, so amenities were at a premium. Checking in, we were informed the water would be shut off due to the impending weather forecast; understandable during the month of October, in Alberta. “Not to worry, we offer water delivery a couple days a week, but that requires a reservation” says the attendant. After paying an additional 60$ for our dogs, I was beginning to have my doubts about this place they have a per dog fee, per day, because its a HOTEL? and they clean up after your dog? fur from the carpet and linens after you leave? WTH… also they are connected to an off leash dog park ‍ Cue the Alberta cold snap, skirt the unit, wrap the pipes, and hunker down for the -30c. Water delivery day came and went. I sat watching the truck roll through the grounds, supplementing those on the list. I was anxious to receive as we were completely dry; 530pm happened and no water in our tank… office closed for the day. I headed to the shower for a proper wash but the bathrooms were locked, punch code required that we were never given. The next day, -30c and no water in our skirted and well heated unit, I made my way to the office to enquire about the lack of access to the shower house and why we did not receive our water delivery. “We only take care of our full time people…” says the owner. The following sentence, after that initial slap, was definitely the clincher for me, as they said “you cant expect me to fill everyones tank. There are almost 20 of you. So i need to take care of the people here all winter. You can pull out and fill up at the dump station”. I hope you are following along from the beginning because THEY TOOK RESERVATIONS FOR WATER FILLS, after the taps were closed for winter. “Why did you take a reservation for my fill?” I asked. They couldn’t respond with more than a shrug. The staff tries, fain to smile and offers a joke or two, but the place is clearly disorganized with ownership allowing things to happen without proper protocol.nnWe asked to pay for a site to store our unit for a month, and they declined saying it was a 6 month minimum. I walked by today and noticed there are dozens of spots open strange right? plus there were a couple new short term units in spots, even though we were told short term ended on the 31st Oct. As I said, its all about who you know in a small town.
Great campground, well kept and very friendly staff. We love it and that’s why we keep coming back. Book your stay and you won’t be disappointed. Lovely walks along the river and not to mention there’s an off leash dog park right out side the campground it self along the river too.
