We went to the Conestoga Mall’s Bourbon St Grill on a weekend afternoon. They had a small line, but it went by very quickly. We got two Combo 1 $11.69+tax which includes rice/noodles, 1 meat and 1 veggie. For the first one we got noodles, corn and the bourbon chicken. For the vegetarian one we got the noodles with zucchini and corn. We personally think the noodles are better than the because it is more flavourful. If you get the rice, we recommend that you ask for a sauce on top the bourbon sauce if you like it sweet. The chicken is always the star of the show for us, it is sweet, soft and juicy. The corn wasn’t very good though, it wasn’t sweet and it was a bit mushy. We would recommend the broccoli instead or other vegetables. Tip: You get a small discount if you pay in cash.
The bourbon chicken is not that much delicious but worth going out of your way to try. The problem with this location — I'm not sure about other locations, as I've never experienced this problem with the only other one that I've been to — is that they start making preselected, discounted plates at around 5:30 PM. Considering that the location closes at 9:30 PM, and when they start making said plates is the time that most people are getting dinner on their way home, you either get a combination that you may not like or end up not eating here altogether. In overall the food is okay to try.... Parking: Plenty of free parking available in front and sides of the mall Wheelchair accessibility: No issues with the wheelchair chair accessibility
Busy day we stopped by seeing the people lined up thought they might have changed their menu. Big mistake flavourless. Customer service down the hill. No need to mention. It’s ok it’s a take out fast food but no need to be disrespectful towards customers!
I'm not entirely impressed with the meal here. Service was Ok, the servers were very nice but the quality of food is very different from the Guelph and Fairview locations. The rice had a bland taste so we had to rely on the chicken for taste. Maybe today was just not a good day. Also, you can only pay by cash or debit and they don't tell you that before hand, so you might want to make proper arrangements before visiting.
I think I am their first customer today in the morning, because I have to wait 2 mins for the grill chicken. The lady told me all the dishes were freshly cooked every day. I’m sure I will come back again, the food is yummy, and the price is great. Much better than the frozen dishes.
The food here is always good. It's certainly much better than the Burboun St.Grill location at Fairview park mall. It's alot of food for 20$ and I cannot think of a time where I have been displeased with eating bourbon chicken . Kid-friendliness: It's a mall setting, so families are welcome. Parking: Massive lot.
Was skeptical trying it out based on some of the lower reviews. However, this has now become my new favourite fast food restaurant in the city after trying their Combo 1 with Cajun BBQ Chicken, Noodles, and mashed potatoes. Food was very delicious and well cooked. Will be coming back to try all of their chicken dishes. Highly recommended
Location: Conestoga mall. An associate named Wendy, yells at customers, being rude. I didn't feel safe, after she had an emotional attack, some customers left just like me.
