We went there tonight and had the best time. My buddy and I know nothing about bourbon and had the the best time! The bourbon queen behind the bar was extremely knowledgeable and definitely did not steer us wrong! She is amazing! I would recommend her and this bourbon bar to anyone that wanted to try some amazing bourbon! Thank you so much for all of you assistance and knowledge, bourbon queen!
Stopped here during Chowder Fest. They actually had our favorite soup sample! The atmosphere seemed simple but probably looks a lot different during the nightlife of Caroline Street. The bartenders weren't very personable, and I can't blame that on it being too busy at the bar when we went. I don't have a ton of experience with bourbon prices as a beverage I work in a liquor store, so I know retail pricing, and I drink wine, but $20 for an Angel's Envy rocks seems a bit high. Had the same at a nearby bar in December for $14. They had a decent selection of standards and harder to find bottles. They also serve about 6 draught beers. Might go back on a "normal" night to feel it out again.
To the response from the owner: I was actually never asked to leave so you may have the wrong person, in the future I would double check. Furthermore, to accuse someone of something that is so blatantly untrue goes to show the lack of respect you have for your patrons. I am not going to speak in detail to your response because it does not warrant my energy and I am sorry you have to stoop to these levels on the internet rather than take ownership of the faults of your business. If this wasn’t one of many reviews that express their dissatisfaction with your employees you may have had a leg to stand on. Was there Friday night with a few friends and some family. Decent looking place. However, the young dark haired women may have been the rudest bartender I’ve ever had an interaction with. As a bartender for 8+ years through college I’m not one to write reviews or get upset, but given my awful experience here, it is warranted. There are much better places to go if you want to enjoy a night out. We will never be going back to this place.
Went with my wife on New Years Eve and was very disappointed. No list or pricing of bourbons and the atmosphere was dark and dull for New Years. Bartender seemed like she really didn't want to be there. Asked for a cocktail for my wife and all I got was a blank stare. Will not be spending any more money at The Bourbon Room.
Have been into this place a few times and there has been the same dark haired young bartender. The first experience was not good to say the least but I’m aware that everyone has bad days. Unfortunately, my experience here has only gotten worse. Very rude and unprofessional and comes off as disinterested. The place itself is pretty cool and I hope management takes some of these reviews into consideration as it appears I am not the only person that has had these experiences.
Food dancing drinks! All great! Will return time and time again! Alec, Christine and Jill are hospitable and Amazing! Djs on the weekends makes Parties a fun time! Always the best dance floor in town. Great burgers
Very friendly and very knowledgeable staff which is rare these days. I would absolutely not hesitate to patronize this place again and to hope for this staff which is knowledgeable and has a sense of humor!
