Absolutely stunning view if your table is at the patio, which is perfect for summer time. Inside decor is also unique classy. Good service from the host , they always do their best to find you the table that meet your needs. Our waitress was also very good . Love the calamari we had. It's a great place for meals , recommended
Alrighty so we drove to this spot for the view and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Parking is easy and there is a charm of the little town! Now food was quiet a disappointment ! We got calamari and caesar salad to start with. Salad was average, you have to cut the lettuce urself! The calamari we couldn’t eat , the quality, the sauce was not to our liking. Mains took forever to arrive . My husband got fish tacos he ordered 3 got 2 then they rushed a 3rd one. Came with aside of fries that tasted like old oil. I got the fish with angel hair pasta. Fish was bland but fine now the pasta was soaked in oil which made the dish hard to finish. So sad for this bad experience because seriously the patio and the views are a charm! Hence the 3 stars
The service was very friendly. Menu was good. Would have liked to see more vegetarian options but I still enjoyed what I ordered, did not get much of it but it was all I needed. I had the beet salad and my friend had the burger. Atmosphere was very pleasant loved the decor.Food: 4/5
Beautiful place with a nice view. The quality of the main dish was perfect. Although the soup of the day was not to my liking, it may be to yours. But they noticed I barely touched it and didn't charge me for it. The service was fantastic. The quality-price value was above expectations. Well done!
The Caesar salad was fresh with excellent presentation. The steak sandwich was delicious and the fries were piping hot. I'd definitely come back
We had a lovely meal. The menu was varied, exquisite, and used fresh ingredients to get the very best. We sat by the river and watched the sun set making the whole experience very pleasant. Our server was attentive, but patient and let us enjoy our meal without being intrusive. The restaurant was not very busy so it was quiet and we could have a conversation in peace and quiet. Overall, it was a really nice night out.
A gem in Carleton Place both for the food and the views! It has an incredible water backdrop if you’re on the patio and inside is a bougie, modern atmosphere. I’ve been here a few times now and have not been disappointed- food and service has been more or less consistently good we had one bad experience on both fronts. Ribs are fall off the bone and calamari was a different on two separate occasions one we liked and the other wasn’t much of a fan of but will give it credit for the creativity. Would highly recommend.
Although the restaurant was nice and their patio had a great view of the falls the food was disappointing. Most dishes came with either a strong or mild curry tasting sauce. We ordered fish, chicken and beef tacos all were just okay. Presentation of the beet smoked salmon was nice. Mussels would have been great if the sauce didn’t have such a strong curry taste. The mushroom soup of the day was SO SO SO salty! I thought maybe they just accidentally made it too salty today but from reading a previous review seems like the soup of the day might come extra salty? The gnocchi sauce also had a strong taste of curry but what I mainly didn’t like about that dish was it didn’t come with enough vegetables but it had too many olives. The tiramisu barely had any coffee flavour and their blueberry tart tasted old. I think out of the whole meal the Caesar salad was my favourite and the bread that came with the gnocchi dish. The 35 minute drive was definitely not worth it. Will not be returning.
Stopped by the Boulton House for a very late lunch. I had a burger with a gluten free bun and fries, it was delicious!!!! My husband enjoyed a chicken parm sandwich. The service was nice and friendly and the view of the river was lovely. The menu had lots of options. We are looking forward to going back for dinner sometime.
We were greeted with disrespect. We were rushed to decide what to have for dinner. The server removed the plates before our guest was finished. The food was good. The service was clearly lacking in respectful. We strongly suggest that you inform your greeting staff with the appropriate etiquette. We will not be back at your restaurant. We will not recommend your restaurant.
