I’m happy to have this place in my neighbourhood. It has some cheap packages and is kid-friendly. I’m giving 4 stars, however, because the climbing paths for beginners are minimal and are biased toward tall people. I’m 5’2” and many of the blocks even in the easier levels are just frankly completely out of my reach. Points for having a weight lifting station tho! Here’s some photos of my bf climbing
Not a single hold in this gym had grit on it, and there were very few beginner friendly routes. I was excited to bring my friend here for her first bouldering experience but she became discouraged because the only routes on her level were on the short kids wall. I was struggling on routes I normally could have flashed because the holds were so dirty and worn down. I hate to give a low rating, the staff and climbers were friendly and the setting was cool, but I didn’t have a great climbing experience here compared to the ~10 other gyms i’ve visited.
Great gym. Small and cozy with tons of great routes. Most route involve different types of holds and each has unique challenges. The route setters do a great job. Jessy was working the desk and was awesome. She was super nice and couldn't have been more helpful. 10/10!
Very disappointed in the decision to "upgrade" this gym to a spray wall. I loved coming here, the staff and other climbers are so lovely and the general atmosphere has always been so welcoming. The new spray wall style is not beginner friendly and very frustrating. You spend so much time just hanging there trying to figure out what hold to use next. It is also very annoying to try and remember a route from an app. My hands are covered in chalk, I dont want to be checking my phone to see a route. Sad to have canceled my membership. Hopefully, they will bring back the route setting, and I can come back.
Was a good gym that I went to a couple times but disappointed that they made the whole thing a spray wall now. Seems only suitable for advanced/hardcore climbers. Sadly won't be returning unless they change it back
Nice gym with reasonable fees and friendly staff. The gym is a bit small and people might have to wait for their turn to climb. But overall it’s a great place for people who love bouldering.
Great atmosphere, where the staff are friendly and knowledgeable, and the climbers are very supportive. If you're new to the experience, they offer a 2 week introductory package with equipment rentals included. The first day has a trained staff member introduce you to belaying, autobelay and to the rules of the gym. Afterwards you're free to go as often as you like in the 2 weeks to develop your skills, and it gives you enough time to decide if this sport is for you. The gym may be on the smaller side, but it makes it easier for people to interact with each other. At an affordable price, this is a great way to experience something new, without having to break the bank.
Lots of routes for beginners and kids. They have a small workout section up above with rock climbing treadmill. Not a huge selection or variety of routes, but they have autobelays
The staff I dealt with was amazing! He was helpful, knowledgeable and very kind. My kid loved it too! Highly recommend.
Great gym. Little smaller than expected but enough to keep me challenged.
