Best French bakery west of France and east of Quebec! The quality of the proper, wonderful bread and pastries totally ramps up the quality of life in Nova Scotia. The friendly vibe and wonderful staff are just fine-quality chocolate on the excellent croissant. icing on the cake
I've been buying sourdough and pastries from them at the Wolfville Farmer's Market for the last 2 months. By far the best baked goods I've ever purchased in Nova Scotia. Friendly staff, great prices and absolutely fantastic products. I cannot recommend them enough.
The nicest staff. Knowledgeable. Friendly and welcoming. The baked goods are absolutely delicious and made with a whole lot of pride. You feel it when you walk through the door. So thankful they are in the community.
I passed by this place on the way to Mahone Bay. I was intending to go to a restaurant and after finding out both my 1st and 2nd choices were closed no staff and midafternoon closure between meals? I thought I'll go back and try this place. What a treat! It's small, but everything looks so good, ended up getting a few items as I couldn't decide. The Petite Dejeuner was one of the best things I have ever had. Yes, I was very hungry at that point, but it was genuinely yummy, as was the cheesecake. Since eating their I have been telling people to go, and that I can't wait to go back when I'm on the South Shore again. I ended up paying about as much as I would at a restaurant, and getting less food, items are expensive but the quality is there, so the prices are justified. Staff were very friendly, displays were nice, everything was clean and neat. I will plan my next work meeting around their open days. What a waste of a trip if they weren't! Definitely give it a try if you're anywhere near the area.
While we enjoy their goods, being harassed for tips upon checkout is obnoxious. It says a lot about the spirit of a merchant who takes advantage of gullible customers via the programmable electronic payment system when really all they do is reach into a shelf and hand over a bread.
Absolutely delectable baking and bread. The variety is amazing and the quality of the baking is superb. The staff we really friendly and welcoming. Everything we tried was mouthwatering.
This bakery is conveniently located with lots of parking. On entering you get a great visual of all their offerings in store on display. They had pretzels, sourdough breads, chocolate tarts, cheese and olive bread, and so much more. I picked up a : Sticky bun - The sticky bum was perfect, not too sweet. Lemon custard tart - perfectly balanced and tasted very fresh and rich, Parisian style baguette- this was huge and also dense, it had great crunch, chew and was good. They had pizza and ice cream in their freezer, which I will be purchasing on our next visit. You guys are doing a great job! Keep doing it
Incredible little bakery on the South Shore. Their baklava is the best!
Good tasting food. Nice and clean. Sometimes there are a bunch of really noisy people across the road with dogs but they seem nice enough. Close to the firehall too so if there is a fire they are set
Tried 3 different loaves of sourdough bread The sourdough bread was ok, but the pastries were not very good and I would never buy them again.. Bought peach croissants and they were mushy and inedible and had to be thrown out, the sweet roll puff pastry rolled like a Danish or cinnamon bunwas hard and oily almost looked deep fried. .
