Great hidden gem. Dwayne and Tim at the Bottrel store have all the essentials you may need and a quaint cozy little campground with a creek running through that's not far from the city.
A quiet dry camping campground which offers a park for smaller children as well as a large creek perfect for splashing around. Good deal for drive-in $15 and walk-in $10 and you can buy firewood from the store as well. Nice little place to get away and enjoy some green.
It's a great party campground not a lot of sites for tenting maybe 12 or so and maybe a dozen RV spots. No power no bathroom. Just outhouse Has a creek that runs through it. Little store to get odds and ends firewood etc. It looks like He sells gas and diesel as well. Everyone is super friendly And if you don't mind the sound of generators running its a great camp site
We have lived about 10.minutes from here for 15 years. When we need something its our first choice as they have most of what you need. Groceries, household, gas/diesel, propane, ice, farm supplies, liquor and beer. Friendly service and reasonable prices for the area or location too.
Friendly service but a bit pricey for goods/fuel/liquor, although worth the visit to see the original convince store or stay at the campground, a hidden gem in the prairies.
Beautiful and peaceful place for family. Great
Great little campground. Check-in via the general store takes debit/credit, and firewood available generous sized bundle @ $10. $15 drive in, $10 walk-in across the bridge, per night, for tenting August, 2019 . Dry, no water available on-site, no showers. Didn't shop at General Store - but having a convenience store on site seems useful. Pit toilets 2 stalls are decently kept, have internal battery powered lights, and cleaning suppliers /sanitizers available in each stall. Nice little stream runs through the campground separating drive-in from walk-in sites, which is spanned by a nice wooden bridge new-ish construction, in good shape. Sites have metal "fire pits". Site was reasonably full on a Saturday night, but not super crowded - we found a good site with a little looking. Neighbors were not an issue, even with kids playing in the creek in the early evening. We found a site next to the creek, which is definitely "babbling"; nice to have the white noise of the creek at night. Some traffic noise overnight from the township road which runs by the site, but not an excessive amount, nor excessively loud. Likewise for sounds of horses from neighboring farm/ranch in the morning. Staff came around around 8:00 Sunday morning to empty animal-proof trash bins, and clean pit toilet stalls - but were not excessively noisy doing so. All-in-all a well maintained, well run, and inexpensive "basic" campground. Definitely will go back.
This owner is the best. Check out his store. Fish are jumping
Lots of shady trees with a nice lazy River going through the campsite. The store is well stocked up on groceries that you might need, alcoholic beverages, ice for sale and firewood. There are wheelbarrows for use to get your equipment to the tent sites on the other side of the creek.
Cozy, small treed campground. Cute little play park for kids. Small creek running through the middle. General store on site. $10 per night, awesome bang for your buck. No washrooms or running water, only outhouses.
