*EDIT: Review changed to 5 /5 upon re-reading the website and realizing it was clearer than originally thought. Also, management is replying to nearly all reviews left on Google, that that - on its own - is commendable. * Very nice set-up and atmosphere. Excellent food and great selection of treats/desserts. The staff was very accommodating of all our questions being it was my entire party's first time in. The patio space looked lovely for a warm, not too breezy day. I do think that the indoor seating is a touch cramped. I realize square footage is a delicacy nowadays in smaller restaurants, and I wasn't quite touching the person next to me also from my party, but I did feel as though the rectangular plates made it so that my table space felt a little smaller than I'd prefer. Additionally, the website seemed a touch confusing to us as to what times certain meals were available, and what the "Kitchen" aspect was and how it was related to the "Teahouse". But the manager took time to explain it all, and it makes perfect sense to us now. * Honestly, I'd give this a 4.5 / 5 if I could, but for the sake of my very mild, I think criticisms, a 4 / 5 will have to suffice.
I went to this cafe for brunch with a friend. First, I love the interiors. The vibe is so Persian. When it comes to food, we ordered an omelette from brunch, beef wrap l, lentils soup, ice tea, Persian tea and safron rice pudding. Overall the quality of food was great. It was fresh, yummy. Rice pudding was alright. I had high hopes from it. But overall the experience was really good. This place is well accessible via public transport and just next to 22st west.
Had the Iranian spinach and sausage omelet for brunch, with the never-ending Persian tea and an extra sausage because it tasted so good! The amazing sausage is locally made at the Pig and Pantry. Excellent food, wonderful service and the desserts are far too tempting to resist. In the words of the immortal Mae West, I can resist anything, except temptation! My excuse for dessert was that I was not finished my tea.
Such an amazing atmosphere, the green lamps hanging, the carpets on back of sette and the green wall are a few details that contribute to the whole experience. Staff was knowledgeable and very helpful explaining dishes and drinks. Tastes are out of this country lol. Will definitely come back. Vegetarian options: They have dairy substitutes for drinks like lattes. Dietary restrictions: They have vegetarian options. Lentil soup, Naan bread with sesame seed spread was amazing
Tried Botté for the first time yesterday. I was so happy I did. The food is well portioned and incredibly flavorful, my iced drink was near perfection and the staff was very pleasant. I already look forward to my next visit.
I had the weekend brunch with my parents and was so pleased with the amazing flavours in all 3 omelettes we had - I would especially recommend the date and feta omelette as I would never have thought to put dates in eggs and it was delicious. The restaurant has such a welcoming decor and I will definitely be back.
Amazing cafe is Saskatoon. I ordered coconut white hot chocolate and it was so delicious and the sweetness level was perfect. One great thing about their drink was that it was not overly sweet, like other fast food chains. Great place to hang out with friends and family. I will visit it again for sure.
My FAVOURITE cafe ever, the staff is the nicest and the tea is delicious. It has such a nice ambience and the desserts are so good. My favourite tea is sweet apple chamomile!! The tea is about 6 dollars plus they add more hot water if you run out and it just steeps more with no extra cost!
We booked Botte Persian Cafe for my birthday celebration and surprise wedding and it was perfect! Their restaurant and patio area is the perfect venue for a smaller gathering. The food is delicious, beautifully presented and fresh. The staff was very helpful and all of our guests had an amazing time! Thank you! Highly recommend using them for catering or stop by for lunch, dessert and tea.
Fantastic little hole-in-the-wall tea house! They offer a selection of different cakes and desserts, the saffron rice pudding being my particular favourite. It had enough sweetness to it that didn't overpower the flavors of the saffron -- probably some of the best saffron rice pudding I've ever had! The pistachio ice-cream -- it was overwhelmed by the flavour of saffron, so I would more likely call it a saffron ice-cream than pistachio, so I probably won't go out of my way to have it again. The prices were fair and reasonable, with the cakes at around the 5-7 dollar range. The atmosphere is nice and quiet, and I appreciated the rigorous adherence to social distancing that they implemented.
