It was our first time experience at this location. We were a group of over 15 people, and we changed our reservation 3 times, they accommodated our request, even though it was busy long weekend. Daren is the store manager, he is an awesome person and handled some of our special requests. We were served by Naoemie, she is such a lovely person with a welcoming smile. Food and service was simply exceptional. Thank you everyone!!!!
Great service for a lunch. It was early and the restaurant was empty we were the first customers of the day. The waitress had a great contact with the kids and the food was as expected. Delicious, there was plenty of food for the price. Kid-friendliness: The menu is great but I would add the option of fresh veggies as a side. My kids don't eat fries. Not our choice they don't like fries that much.
So, staying overnight at a local hotel and my family wanted pizza. I only wanted a poutine and wasn't expecting anything too amazing. Not sure if they pegged us for tourists and decided to have a little fun, but their version of poutine was french fries with some... I think some semi melted brie on it with no gravy. Real funny, didn't notice until we got back to the hotel unfortunately. Pizza was fine I guess. Probably not a place we'd go back to next time through.
Good service, nice staff but the place was dirty. Tables were stained with old menus prints, carpet was sticky and packed of dirt and stained. There was missing toilet paper in the lady’s room, bathroom doors were broken and toilet seat were stained… we ordered before seeing the toilet, because we would have headed somewhere else instead.
Antoine, our server was excellent. We are non French speaking and he spoke English very well. He was pleasant, prompt and thorough checking on us unobtrusively several times. The chicken tacos and cesar salad were very good. The other servers were pleasant, helping us change tables. We’d definitely return.
I’ve taken quite a few days because I wanted some perspective before I wrote this review. 11 days ago I was at this restaurant for a dinner break during a family road trip. We chose this location because it has a patio, was close to our hotel and we generally had excellent experiences at this restaurant chain. As we parked we could see that the patio had four empty tables. So while I wrangled the family out of the car my wife went in to get us seating. She is fluently bilingual and kindly went up to the front reception and asked to be seated outside for a family of four. In French. In response she was flatly told there was no room. She was not offered seating in the general restaurant nor the bar area -both of which were below half capacity- The entire exchange took place in French. She came back to the car somewhat stunned and was looking at the open seating directly in front of us. I then proceeded to go in. Another family of four went in right in front of me. They were seated in the patio as was I. Right away without a problem. I purposely had my conversations in English. When I got our table my wife and family joined me on the patio. We waited for over 10 minutes to even get menus. Now in fairness the family in front of us was also without service. But by that point we were fed up and decided to take our business elsewhere. Why did this happen? My wife is east Indian born and raised in Canada. I am a white male French Canadian by birth. Most importantly we are all paying Canadian customers. My conclusions are that at best some of the staff are stunningly incompetent. At worst they harbour and exhibit overtly racist behaviour. I will leave it up to the management to decide which is which. I will conclude by saying that two days later we had an excellent dinner at the BP in Charlottetown. Our waitress got a very nice tip for her exemplary service.
Me and my family had dinner here yesterday. This location is Not Clean. The waiters and waitresses are eager young people who want to do good work - But the management of this location seems to be failing them. I ordered Chicken Parmigiana- now deep frying a thick breaded chicken breast and topping it with some Mexican picante salsa and mozeralla cheese does not make it a Chicken Parmigiana. There is a Comfort Inn hotel behind this Boston Pizza location and there are no other restaurants in vicinity- it kind of feels like a tourist trap where parents with children have no other choice so they have to put up with this unclean location. I hope the Management improves the conditions before health Canada pays visit and takes action.
Quick service and the restaurant was very clean. We did not speak French and the servers were very helpful. Food was delicious and well priced. Our drinks were kept topped up at all times which is nice when you don’t have to keep asking.
Always a little hesitant about the language barrier but there was no problem at all. The hostess and server were excellent. And the Montreal smoked meat sandwich was by far the best I've ever had. Great atmosphere, people and food. Totally recommended.
Service was good, friendly, and attentive. The pasta portions are great but way too much for my elderly mom. There is no mention of being able to order a half portion, nor was it offered. As we are traveling we threw out 2 large portion of pasta. The other disappointment was the $10 poutine. The portion was small, not much cheese and it was not melted , just seemed to be thrown on cold. Will get pizza next time. Always been great!
