I have to leave a review because of how incredibly happy I am with the way my hair turned out! I would recommend this place and the stylist I had to anyone who asked me where they should get their hair cut, styled, coloured, and/or anything in between. Yesterday I went in to get a very exteme change in syle and length and going from brown hair to orange, I can imagine a very difficult style to do. The ambiance of the place is really nice, located in this cute little corner gem of the city. Some hair salons can feel claustrophobic and chaotic. Bobby Pin is anything but. The stylists all seem nice and laid back, and the windows that look out on the city make it feel open and comfortable. From the very beginning, I was asked what I wanted and we never strayed away from that idea and they were always upfront about the possible difficulties we could encounter resulting in possible longer time, larger price, or my hair not turning out 100% the way we want it to and that they would keep me informed throughout the process. Since it was such a change, the other stylists would come and check out the progress, but in a comfortable, fun and lighthearted way. I have been to salons where the stylists can make you feel uncomfortable, this is NOT one of those places. Everyone in the store was friendly, and were super-easy to get along with. When another stylist had time, she helped my stylist out to make the process go faster. Now onto the supertar of our show: Megan. To anyone looking to get their hair done, as I said above from style to colour, to everything in between; I would highly recommend Megan! Megan was an absolutely wondeful stylist in every way that one would hope. We had conversations throughout the almost 5 hours I was there, but it never felt forced. Megan was like a friend I was comfortable with for a long time. She checked in with me and kept me appraised of everything going on. She made sure I was comfortable. She worked very hard to make sure I got what I wanted in one sitting. When it came time to pay, it was actually less than I was expecting after all that hard work. She recommended a shampoo and conditioner to me, and when I said I would come back and get them later because I wanted to leave her a tip; she said she would prefer I take care of my hair and she was honest with me, letting me know that as long as I had the shampoo, if I had Dove she didn't say this brand specifically, she asked which brand I had at home, if any, to use and it is just a little thing like this which is one of many reasons I will go back, when I have some more money; I will get the conditiner, I will leave Megan a bigger tip and I will definitely go back and get my hair touched up there, so I can keep this hair I love so much. Maybe even down the road, another big change. Whatever the case, if I still can; I will go to Megan at Bobby Pin. She's a pro. The longest time was spent lifting and then dying my hair. When that was all over, doing the style was easy-peasy for her. Went by in a breeze - and not like it was being brushed off no pun intended, har har, but she just knew what she was doing that well. If you can't get Megan, I did see the other stylists work and interact with their clients and all of them did great jobs and were knowledgable and friendy. I recommend it because 1 From a buisness side, they definitely deserve the business 2 As a client, it's hard to find someone who knows how to do hair well. Megan really does. Also, from bits of conversations I did hear what can I say? Sometimes, you're just sitting and happen to pick some thing up and from what I heard every single stylist in there seemed to genuinely care about their clients' hair. I feel really great after such a big change, I will definitely be back and highly recommend anyone who's having trouble finding a stylist - let this review tip you into Bobby Pin's favour and try it out. Everytime I try to go somewhere else, I am disappointed. The quality of haircuts and color treatments I get here compare to no other salon I have been to. They really take the time to talk with you, ask questions, or make recommendations. I want to especially recognize Ana for her service. She is amazing!

Renee is the most skilled blonde hair dresser I know. Within five years my bleach blonde hair has went from shoulder length to below my bottom. While I treat my hair like gold, it is also the quality products and the expertise application that allowed me to get this far.Service: Hair coloring

I got my hair done by Jolan and I am in LOVE. She specialises in amazing and fun colours, and oh boy was it ever worth the price. My hair has kept a vivid pink months after the appointment. She gave simple to follow instructions, great advice, and she was also a joy to visit with.

I have been twice, each with a different stylist. I first saw Jessica who gave me a great cut. She was mindful of my hair type and styling trends. I asked for a different style of bangs than usual and was unsure about them; she suggested I think about it and then pop back if I didn't like them and she would restyle them free of charge. I next saw Kirsten for a color. I showed her some pictures of colors and styles that I liked and she did a great job of combining those ideas and creating her own look. I loved the result! I don't think that enough time was booked for what needed to be done, and there wasn't any room to go over the time slot on my part so she really hustled her butt to get everything done, and I don't think that affected the quality of her work at all. She was very kind and made sure that I was happy with what was going on, and it was clear that she really cares for the quality of her work and about making choices that damaged my hair as little as possible.
