Free skate time was reduced. No wifi Saturday and Sunday. Printer problems. Hockey time wasn't reduced due to Zamboni's breakdown.
I was at Bob Birnie Arena for my Covid-19 vaccination and was in-and-out in 30 minutes. It's run by friendly and professional staff. The process was to: arrive, line up, there were only 2 people ahead of me, get registered, answer a series of questions to determine risk, get the jab, wait 15 minutes to assure that you are not having an allergic reaction before leaving. Easy!
Went there for COVID19 vaccination. The operation was smooth. The activity was very well organized. The arena was convient to handle such a big operation. The place was clean. Parking is available Finding a parking spot was easy.
It's an older arena with 2 rinks, a pro shop and canteen. Plenty of free parking shared with the aquatic center. The stands are not made for taller people as your knees will most certainly hit the chair in front of you.
Lining up for Covid vaccinations. Awesome job by all those that guided, explained, delivered those shots, and worked so hard to help all our seniors.
Nice arena with 2 ice, the changing room are big and well places and there is enough room for spectator
Bob Birnie Arena was used for a vaccination centre for COVID-19 The staff and the amazing volunteers vaccinated over 100,000 people
Honestly an underrated arena. Great changing rooms, they are big, restrooms clean and good quality. Benches are pretty big, there is a bench for the coaches to get an upper view of the game. Lot of stands, no problem to find a place to sit. Ice is in relatively good quality, nets are a bit small though. Lots of parking space as well.
Current NHL heros graduated from this arena are Anthony Duclair and Mike Matheson.
