I was at Bob Birnie Arena for my Covid-19 vaccination and was in-and-out in 30 minutes. It's run by friendly and professional staff. The process was to: arrive, line up, there were only 2 people ahead of me, get registered, answer a series of questions to determine risk, get the jab, wait 15 minutes to assure that you are not having an allergic reaction before leaving. Easy!
Very nice Arena, clean, big. But parking could be a bit hard during some hours.
Lining up for Covid vaccinations. Awesome job by all those that guided, explained, delivered those shots, and worked so hard to help all our seniors.
The rink is fine and available even in the summer. During public skating, there are little kids skating in all directions and very often cause a risk of collisions. There appears to be little to no oversight of rink rules posted on the Bob Birnie website.
Free skate time was reduced.nnNo wifi Saturday and Sunday. Printer problems.nnHockey time wasn't reduced due to Zamboni's breakdown.
