BMO treats its customers with both contempt and apathy - an impressive combination. No local phone number, 17 minute wait for "Customer Service" just to be told that "we don't know why you can't accomplish your E-transfer. Just keep waiting." It's been in limbo for 36 hours - they won't even allow it to be cancelled. So they have my money - the sender is out his money, I'm out mine, and they won't even answer the phone. Contemptuous customer service. If they weren't a Bank I could have at least called the Police. I'm sure the people working locally are all awesome - the CEO's rely heavily on the fact that their front-line staff are good, conscientious people. But BMO itself, as a business, is abusive.

The Staff at BMO are friendly, helpful and extremely good at what they do. They have some of the best products among the top 5 banks. Their mortgage rates are unbeatable. Also their anti-fraud is impeccable. We had a problem with fraudulent activity and the branch manager himself called us to inform us and even resolved it for us. Highly recommend!
